I've changed my recomp to a 30 day dumbbell routine here: https://www.livestrong.com/article/13727083-dumbbell-challenge
I found myself getting bored the last week or so with the one I used last month. I like this one because it's completely dumbbell based and I didn't have to make so many modifications. And it's four different workouts instead of five. The downside is there are fewer exercises and fewer sets so I'll be adding 1-2 sets as well as 1-2 more exercises for at least the upper body workouts.
I am planning five pass days because I'm meeting some friends in Carmel (they live in other states than I do) for a long weekend and it's unlikely we'll be doing much walking. One of my friends has a bad knee and can hardly walk as it is and the other two aren't regular exercisers but they are in decent shape so I may be able to get at least one of them to go on a morning walk with me. In any case I'm looking forward to it as I haven't seen them since Dec 2019. This is our fourth reschedule of the date since a year ago and I think it will finally happen.8 -
Congratulations to the Winner's Circle and the Champions!

Yes, yes and yes, July is off to a good start here!8

This was another challenging day with 3 contractors in our home and our California daughter and Son-in-law arriving at the airport in the evening.
Fortunately, I did make the Big 3 yeses.
It's after midnight and I'm ending my Monday.
I'm usually in bed by 10 p.m.
This holiday weekend, celebrating July 4th, the Independence Day of the USA, will be especially difficult with the last gathering of all 4 adult children and family at our home/farm.

Did I exercise at least 20 minutes? I think I just eked out a bit more than that.
Did I track everything? Indeed.
Did I stay within calories? Um.... no.
Pass Days: 1/3
Frankly, for this month at least, I'm pretty much aiming at not gaining *too* much weight. Losing would be preferable, but I'll be okay with staying within a pound either way of where I'm currently at. I knew we were going out for dinner tonight, so this afternoon, I sat here with the MFP database and the menu to try to figure out what I was going to eat. Sigh. The best laid plans... They're doing some renovations starting Saturday, so they were running out of things today. Things like my planned meal, so I just ordered things I like, but probably shouldn't have eaten. And then... Then, my daughter that doesn't live with me, ordered dessert and couldn't finish, so I did. Why? Welll.... chocolate... I know better but, damn, that was good. So there went the calorie count.
Things they are a-changing, so I'm going back to work one more day each week starting next week. And that will be ongoing, barring any catastrophes or other unforeseen issues. Keep your fingers crossed for me (and my daughter) that this change in her treatment schedule actually helps rather than hinders. The doctor and I talked about it this morning and we both hope this is the right way to go because my daughter seems stalled and even, at times, regressing. So... And on that note, I bid you good night. Sweet dreams everybody! (Or good morning, have a great day!)10 -

Happy July!
Yes, yes and yes
If I have a goal for July, it would be to stay consistent with tracking and checking in. I traveled for the last part of June and I did not check in for several days. I typically use my laptop so this gets challenging when traveling. I am traveling again for the last two weeks of July so I want to start using my phone more so that I remain consistent. That is my goal.
Wishing everyone a strong and healthy July!

Date: 1 July 2021
Exercised?: Yes. 68 minutes pedaling Cubii (under desk elliptical). Hopefully I'll get some days with more active exercise, but this is what I can do right now (multitasking) so hopefully it's acceptable.
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes
The tracking was a huge win for me. I even made it through making my husband's birthday dessert (candy pizza); normally I would have snacked on a few marshmallows, a few M&Ms, a few chocolate chips, a couple bites of the cookie dough. Managed to only have a little bit of cookie dough and I logged it.9 -
