Exercise - best day in a long time! We celebrated International Dog Day with Beau by going on a long walk as a family. I had over 9500 steps logged before breakfast.
Tracking - yes
Under calories - yes
As for hacks - I am committed to prepping and having options ready at most times. Tonight we had pre-roasted cauliflower with our dinner. We love roasted vegetables and find they are a terrific add in to salads or soups. I have an instant pot and do lots of batch cooking of soups, legumes, brown rice, etc that is packaged and frozen for future ease. 🥦🥕🧅🫑🍆🥘🍜🍝6 -

clutterqueen wrote: »@Bradkcrew I am sorry to hear about your possible arthritis and injury. This is not medical advice but since I had plantar fasciitis several years ago, turmeric has been my new best friend. I use the NatureMade and take it every single day. It’s great for any kind of inflammation. A word of caution- you cannot take it if you take blood thinners, aspirin or anything else that can thin the blood.
Listen to your body! I wish I had when I first started developing plantar fasciitis years ago instead of trying to run thru it.
I have suffered from plantar fasciitis for the last couple of years, drove me insane. But for the last couple of months it has completely disappeared ... I even did a beach walk on Wednesday for an hour without any footwear on and they were still OK. But I am interested in turmeric. Do you take it in a tablet form? I've seen the drinks advertised but they're not for me. but would be curious if it was in tablet form like a vitamin? Did it help with your plantar fasciitis? Although i don't have that anymore, I think I have inflammation in my joints.4 -
No, didn't stay under calories and didn't track the meal I had at friends'. Had a great time though, the first time in months and months eating out at a friend's house. I did walk some 30 minutes though.6

Did I exercise? Negatory.
Did I track? I did.
Did I stay within calories? Nope. Cake happened as I continued to celebrate my birthday.
This also happened:
I was a pretty big fan of the Hercules and Xena shows. Mostly because of the cute guys. I got kind of involved in online fandoms for Michael Hurst (Iolaus) and Kevin Smith (Ares). Sadly, Kevin, who this bobblehead was modeled after, died in February 2002 after falling off some scaffolding on a movie set in China. I met him once, in October 2001, and he was such a nice guy. I turned into a total fan girl, completely gobsmacked and unable to speak. (I was 43 years old. It was kind of embarrassing to lose it like that.) He was very sweet about it. My friend, who I met on the "Temple of Ares" bulletin board on the SyFy Channel's website, poked at me until I somehow managed to whisper a request for a picture. She took the photo of Kev and I on her camera. (Her husband then took a picture of her and Kevin and managed to cut off the top of her head. LOL) She eventually had the photo printed out and was going to send it to him to autograph before sending it to me, but he passed before that happened. She ended up just framing it and sent it to me for my birthday that year. It sits on my desk at work. My friend passed away herself last year. Broke my heart. Anyways, my darling daughter and her buddy found this in a used record shop a couple of weeks ago. It was, apparently, supposed to be my Christmas pressie, but Kindra brought it to GWD tonight as my b-day pressie. It's going to work with me tomorrow and will sit next to my photo.
I'll come back tomorrow to read everybody's posts for today.6 -
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes

Hacks? I don't think I have any.5 -
Hacks - I make a big pot of chicken soup and then freeze individual portions. Whenever I am short on time, I grab a portion instead of just eating everything and anything I can find. I try to never run out. I also have an emergency kind bar or something on my person when I leave the house just in case plans change or I get stuck. I only drink coffee at home in the morning and try never to buy it while out as my favorite coffee drink has about 700 calories.

Pass say #7. Honestly, I'm a little proud I only ended up like 200 calories over given my lunch was literally ice cream and Cheetos. LOL. I'm counting it as a win that I turned it around, even though it was technically a pass day.
First day back at the gym in two weeks since Kiddo's isolation ended. Felt both good and SUPER OUCHY to be back.
I'm not sure I have any life hacks per say, other than cooking for the week on Sunday so I'm never left wondering what's for a meal... because that's when I end up with Cheetos and ice cream for lunch 🤦♀️5 -

@Healthymumlife and @Bradkcrew I take NatureMade turmeric capsules. When I had severe inflammation I took it twice a day. Now I just take it once a day for maintenance.3
