Hello! My NSV's are my jeans fit better, they are not tight around the waist anymore. My knees pain (and joints in general) have reduced tremendously, so that's great. On the weekends If I go out for lunch or dinner I have been able to stick to ordering the healthier options. 😁
Exercised?: Yes. Workout video.
Calories?: Yes
Tracked?: Yes

Hi @SModa61 - hang in there. And then get back here!3
-
I love reading everyone’s NSVs.
NSV - I don’t have a handicap placard for my car anymore. I haven’t had to use my cane in the last 18 months. I chased my 3 year old granddaughter around the house today because she wanted me to be the big bad wolf and blow the house down - and I could do it(chase her I mean, not blow the house down).

Hi all, loved reading everyone's NSV's... an impressive list. Thanks for the dose of inspiration!
Exercise - 74 minutes walking / 22 minutes yoga
Tracked it all - yes
Calories - under limit5 -
I have loved reading all your NSVs - thank you to each of you for sharing! My first is that I have tracked for 51 days now (!) and I have stuck with this. I have also been working on establishing some good habits including allowing more enjoyment and less time at work. First phase of the decluttering project went well and I am now singing again every day. It helps that I have Philharmonic Chorus rehearsals again now and the repertoire is really challenging. Everyone is double vaccinated and masked; we rehearse in the cathedral sanctuary, 9 feet apart, and no rehearsals longer than 75 minutes. This makes me so happy and motivated to keep exercising as I need the lung capacity and breath control!

NSV’s:
I keep trying things until I figured out how to get back to a more effortless maintenance.
***Walnuts*** Having to stop eating nuts a while back seemed to mess things up for me. So, I decided to try again - small amount - a couple of times a day. So far, so good.
More relaxation - even an occasional nap & relaxing while reading or listening to music. Finally accepting that I am actually retired. Only took about 5 years LOL
***Tracked my food AND REVIEWED key macro/micros *prior* to eating.***
Was I scared? YES.
Did I face the fear? YES
(and that’s my True NSV.)
PS I loved reading all of yours!
PPS A big hug to @SModa61 - so sorry for all you are having to deal with! We’ll be here using your return with open arms💕8 -

I was just starting my second "semester" singing with a community chorus when the pandemic hit. For the past year they've been meeting via zoom. I have not joined them as I have confidence issues when singing by myself and singing in my room was just too weird for me. I was hoping to go back when they started up again next week, but I won't be able to make the first rehearsal as my daughter is having an endoscopy that afternoon and since she'll be going under for that, I won't be surprised if I have to stay with her for 8 hours after like I had to do when she was doing ECT. So... maybe the week after. I'm looking forward to singing again. Fingers crossed.7 -

Exercise? Yep, squeaked by.
Tracked? Yep. The one thing I do consistently.
Calories? Yep, I did!
Woot! A 3-yes day. I guess that's my NSV this month. Oh, that and starting to "run" again. That has felt surprisingly good, despite the fact that I sound like an aging locomotive when I run. Nevertheless, I recover relatively quickly under the circumstances. I have a fun "race" with friends at the end of October. A 5k, muddy, obstacle course. Yeah... we'll be getting down and dirty... quite literally. Hahahahah! My goal is to finish on my own two feet and not require resuscitation (wellllll, *if* the EMT is cute - I might change my mind about that )... and also to not bypass any of the obstacles. We'll see.
Congrats to all of you on your NSVs! You guys are rocking this thing called weight management!
@SModa61 sending coping and home sale vibes to you! Hang in there, kiddo!7 -

I am excited for you! It was the best feeling to sing last night. I had been doing vocal exercises and listening to and studying the scores each day in preparation. We are all so out of shape but things improved so much over the rehearsal. It does feel strange to sing in the chorister’s mask and at
such a distance from others but I know we’ll get used to it.
Have fun!3 -

Running for exercise5 -
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? yes
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? yes
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes- Treadmill: 21 mins / 1.25 mi
- Full Body Warm Up: 5 min
- Day 7: EPIC I - Dumbbell Lower Body Workout: Leg Day (+ cool down): 43 mins
Passes used: 2/3 (1sep) (4sep)
Day 7 was way too many lunges for my knees so I again interspersed with calf raises and squat variations. One of the things I like about the EPIC program is that for most of the workouts there is a lot of variety. Sometimes there are no repeats on a particular exercise (other than when you only do one side and then have to switch to the other). This works really well for my short attention span.
NSV? For probably the last 10 years or so I found that when I sat on the floor it was difficult to get back on my feet. I've noticed in that last couple of weeks it's become easier. I seem to be more limber and less tight.10 -

Mrs_Hoffer wrote: »Most months, when the 15th rolls around, I can't remember what NSV I wanted to mention! Throughout the month I think of them, but on the 15th my mind always seems to go blank! Lol. But I've been thinking about this one a lot this month!
In the last year or so that my sister's hubby was living at home, his legs would often go out on him and he would collapse to the floor. He was a big man, and neither he nor my sister could get him up off the floor. They would have to call the squad or the fire dept every time to come and get him up off the floor. Eventually he had to go to a wheelchair.
When I was at my highest weight (225lbs in 2018), I couldn't get down on the floor to play with my grandkids - or if I did, it was ridiculous what all I had to go through just to get UP off the floor afterwards!)
Since I've lost over 45 lbs and have been doing yoga/stretching for a couple of months - I've noticed that I can get up and down to/from the floor SO.MUCH.EASIER. Not to mention that my knees and my joints don't hurt nearly as much! (I'm sure that my turmeric also helps with my knees/joints).
@ashleycarole86 that's an AMAZING NSV!!!! Congrats to YOU!!! I'm sure that was a wonderful feeling!!
Yep I agree with is soooooo amazing!! Yay for u!!!4 -
Exercise - 15 minute MommaStrong video, 30 minute bike ride
Tracking - yes
Under - yes!
NSV - I've been a bit discouraged because I've been in a plateau of sorts since about April. This Challenge is my next idea to beat that plateau. And I guess my NSV is sticking with posting every day and being better at tracking and staying under with calories as a result of posting. Though the scale hasn't budged yet!
Also, though my weight has been steady, I think my underwear might be too big.
Another NSV was in August, seeing family that I hadn't seen since pre-pandemic, and having them say "Wow, you look great! What are you doing?" I do think in general that people shouldn't comment on other people's weight. But, for me, it was really nice to hear. In the beginning of the pandemic I resolved to stay on track with my weight loss, and pictured just that - a family gathering after isolation, with people saying "Wow." I honestly didn't think it would be 18 months later, but still it was nice to hear. A reminder that though it's been a plateau for a while, my overall weight loss over the past few years is definitely noticeable.

Yes, yes and yes
NSV I am adding to the grandparent comments. I am feeling really appreciative of being a grandparent that can get down on the floor or sit in the sandbox to play. I am so grateful for being physically (and comfortably) able to get down and be at my granddaughter's level.6 -

Did you go "nuts" with nuts today? No (15 days-free )
(I go "nuts" with nuts most times, trying to continue a good habit this month. Counting the number of "nuts" free days.) I am still learning a lot about myself in this area!
Pass day 0/3 (this is for accountability to myself and my records).
It is wonderful to read all these NSV.
I think mine is staying free of going "Nuts" for over a month. There are nuts in the house. I can now take a serving and just enjoy it very well. And not feel like going for more.8 -
