@clutterqueen thank you for your kind comment. Only took me 60+ years to finally learn it!

I have loved reading all your NSVs - thank you to each of you for sharing! My first is that I have tracked for 51 days now (!) and I have stuck with this. I have also been working on establishing some good habits including allowing more enjoyment and less time at work. First phase of the decluttering project went well and I am now singing again every day. It helps that I have Philharmonic Chorus rehearsals again now and the repertoire is really challenging. Everyone is double vaccinated and masked; we rehearse in the cathedral sanctuary, 9 feet apart, and no rehearsals longer than 75 minutes. This makes me so happy and motivated to keep exercising as I need the lung capacity and breath control!

I was just starting my second "semester" singing with a community chorus when the pandemic hit. For the past year they've been meeting via zoom. I have not joined them as I have confidence issues when singing by myself and singing in my room was just too weird for me. I was hoping to go back when they started up again next week, but I won't be able to make the first rehearsal as my daughter is having an endoscopy that afternoon and since she'll be going under for that, I won't be surprised if I have to stay with her for 8 hours after like I had to do when she was doing ECT. So... maybe the week after. I'm looking forward to singing again. Fingers crossed.

I am excited for you! It was the best feeling to sing last night. I had been doing vocal exercises and listening to and studying the scores each day in preparation. We are all so out of shape but things improved so much over the rehearsal. It does feel strange to sing in the chorister’s mask and at
such a distance from others but I know we’ll get used to it.

    Have fun!

    Exercise? Yep, squeaked by.
Tracked? Yep. The one thing I do consistently.
    Calories? Yep, I did!

Woot! A 3-yes day. I guess that's my NSV this month. :D Oh, that and starting to "run" again. That has felt surprisingly good, despite the fact that I sound like an aging locomotive when I run. Nevertheless, I recover relatively quickly under the circumstances. I have a fun "race" with friends at the end of October. A 5k, muddy, obstacle course. Yeah... we'll be getting down and dirty... quite literally. Hahahahah! My goal is to finish on my own two feet and not require resuscitation (wellllll, *if* the EMT is cute - I might change my mind about that ;) )... and also to not bypass any of the obstacles. We'll see. :)

Congrats to all of you on your NSVs! You guys are rocking this thing called weight management!

@SModa61 sending coping and home sale vibes to you! Hang in there, kiddo!

    Congratulations!!!! 🌟🌟🌟

Most months, when the 15th rolls around, I can't remember what NSV I wanted to mention! Throughout the month I think of them, but on the 15th my mind always seems to go blank! Lol. But I've been thinking about this one a lot this month! :)

In the last year or so that my sister's hubby was living at home, his legs would often go out on him and he would collapse to the floor. He was a big man, and neither he nor my sister could get him up off the floor. They would have to call the squad or the fire dept every time to come and get him up off the floor. Eventually he had to go to a wheelchair.

When I was at my highest weight (225lbs in 2018), I couldn't get down on the floor to play with my grandkids - or if I did, it was ridiculous what all I had to go through just to get UP off the floor afterwards!)

Since I've lost over 45 lbs and have been doing yoga/stretching for a couple of months - I've noticed that I can get up and down to/from the floor SO.MUCH.EASIER. Not to mention that my knees and my joints don't hurt nearly as much! (I'm sure that my turmeric also helps with my knees/joints).

@ashleycarole86 that's an AMAZING NSV!!!! Congrats to YOU!!! I'm sure that was a wonderful feeling!! ;)

Yep I agree with is soooooo amazing!! Yay for u!!!
