Pass day today. I got plenty of walking exercise but tracking has been abandoned for the day.
I had planned to have a pass day but the plan was scrapped. It’s a long story but I’m at home – which wasn’t the plan. I was supposed to be sitting in the bar after spending the afternoon by the pool (and possibly in it), having had a delicious dinner in the buffet restaurant. Instead of which I’m at home having had a late lunch in a local pub after a very early breakfast. I haven’t finished eating yet today but I haven’t got the energy to try to work out the calories in what I’ve eaten. As I’m going to be at home for the rest of the month, I can afford a pass day today.
Here’s the story should you care to read itWe had a fortnight holiday booked in Lanzarote – in an all-inclusive hotel. However, my boyfriend/partner hates flying and it’s been over two years since we last flew anywhere. We were going abroad 3 or even 4 times a year. He didn’t like it but he did manage to get on the plane. This time he realised that we were probably going to be on a Boeing Max (the plane that had two disastrous accidents a couple of years ago) and it just completely took him out. He was getting more and more anxious, he told me a few weeks ago that he was worried and didn’t know if he could do it.
So yesterday we made the journey to the airport and booked into the hotel. He was in a real state but was torn about the whole issue. This morning we got up early (5 am) had breakfast and walked up to the airport. We got to the front of the check in queue and he couldn’t go though with it.
We then had a tedious long cold wait around the airport to catch a return bus. Finally got home about noon. So, I shall be home now not away on holiday. (I didn’t want to go on my own)

Exercise ✅ [10 min run + 5 min stretch + > 20 min walk]5 -
Jeez @lesdarts180 that's very hard. I don't travel a lot either because of the animals but I also don't like going alone. I have but not preferred. Too bad you could not have gotten some perflight valium for your partner.

on the negative aspect of laughter - anyone else but me sometimes get the hiccups if they laugh too hard? I know it makes me look younger because the lines on my face get stretched. Not sure about all the benefits listed but it is nice to have a good laugh and I do enjoy being around folks who have some humor.6 -
Laughing has always been important to me, and has proven quite critical. Most of my life I truly enjoyed helping others laugh, I had a gift of humor, and would sometimes spend weeks waiting to drop some gift I came up with at just the right moment. I'm a lot more reclusive now due to the special needs required to keep my immediate family together, but humor is often the only thing that saves us mentally. My kids have inherited my gift of humor which never fails to be... interesting, at a bare minimum at least! 😳 Their senses of humor are quite interesting, as are all of their senses for that matter thanks to that whole autism thing.10

Posting for yesterday and today - both pass days because tracking has been abandoned as we’ve had a big family weekend - my daughter made her confirmation yesterday so a party last night - lots of prep, lots of work, lots of family around. So so so tired today but had to keep going - for lunch at my sister in laws house. I’ve not eaten indulgently but I’ve not had the headspace to track or think too hard about my food choices. Looking forward to a return to the routine tomorrow!
@lesdarts180 I feel for you. Anxiety is heightened when you’re not pushed to do something regularly, how thoroughly stressful and miserable for you both. A friend of mine has a partner with similar limitations (left the airport because they were on an American a Airlines flight (it was a code share with the airline he’d booked with) and felt it was a terrorist target!). They have found Valium very useful!

✔️✔️✔️
Have had a great weekend. Between having my granddaughter with out her parents was complete joy and getting ready for Thursday with the whole clan here my heart is complete. I know I will enjoy Lilith more as she grows. Eating has been great. Exercise abundant. Elliptical, walking and chasing a toddler.8 -
Thanks for the good wishes on my feeling crappy over the COVID booster. Nearly back to normal now :-)
Yesterday 3xyes. I managed to go for an hour walk on a cold but sunny afternoon. Really nice
Today - 3xyes. I went for a lovely hike around and up a hill called Shutlingsloe. The weather started off fantastic and it lasted all day. Just a shame it is getting dark so quickly now.

❌✅✅
Feeling good. Hoping to be cleared for weights this week from the surgery, will know on Tuesday. Not sure my foot is ready to start walking next week (from the plantar fasciitis) but I am hopeful for perhaps the week of December 1st if I continue with no discomfort each morning (7 days straight now).6 -
21st
* Still h've a cold and lots of endometriosis pain so forced myself to do 20 min stretching.
* Way under calories.
* Tracked every BLT.
My endometriosis pain had disappeared after the birth of bub 18mths ago but unfortunately it came back with a vengeance this w/e. Disappointed that it is back and may hve to look at cutting down on animal products, sugar and gluten in the near future to help with the pain. The thought of hving to restrict myself from these foods makes me sad as I really love them but I know it will more than likely help with the inflamation and pain.
I'll jump on later to catch up on ur posts. Hve a great day and night. Xo7 -

@victorious55 I will give that video a try. I am not much of a stretcher but I have been trying to add some.
Exercise: Surprisingly nice weather so I got out for a 4 mile run.
Tracking: I went out to dinner tonight and although I threw some numbers into the tracker it could be off by 500 calories either way. I will post a pic and I would love to hear what others would estimate.
Calories: Well, I made it official today. After a 33 week/68 pound journey I decided to join the maintenance ranks. I figured I would just dive in, so I went out to eat. No scale. No measuring cups. Nothing more than a guess really for the tracker, but even estimating around 1000 calories, I was still under 1800 for the day which should have snuck in under my TDEE according to my fitbit. Hopefully!
Anyway, it was a big step for me to eat something "unregulated," and I feel okay with it.

November 21st.
Did I exercise? No not really. Just a little stretching and rest. Right quad is irritated. Going up and down stairs is hard.
Yes to the other 2.
This is my final pass.
I will keep posting and reading comments. I am bummed that I have an injury but I have to take care of it.

Anyone want to guess the calories? I ended up going with about 1000. It is New York Maple Glazed Salmon: Spice Rubbed Atlantic Salmon, Potato, Corn and Arugula Hash, Lemon. Could be 1500 for all I know, but it seemed reasonable????3 -
Wow, congrats @bradkcrew for losing 68 lbs! I didn't realize you had lost so much. Also good job getting in the 4 mile run, and not taking a scale with you to the restaurant! 👍4

@juffelman49 - Wise decision to prevent further injury and longer healing. Hope it gets better soon.2

Today:
Tracked - No 😂
Calories - No 😂
Exercised - No 😂
I can laugh about it because I'm not going to let an afternoon of over-snacking get me down! It happens! 🤪7 -
Laughing is key. Nothing makes my heart happier than my kiddos belly laugh. It’s amazing.
Yesterday was a pass day - so at 4 pass days on the month - impromptu dinner with hubby instead of a Home Depot run. I got cheese tamales. So good. So much cheese it was kind of horrifying. Lol. We ended up actually watching a movie after getting the downstairs entertainment system set up which we haven’t done in like 2 years. We watched a knives Out which we both highly enjoyed. If your humor runs dark like ours, I def recommend it.
Today I did class at the gym, then hiked about 5.5 miles up and down rocky cliffs and stream beds at a local preserve (watch only logged a small portion of the hike) where I met friends from high school (one was my maid of honor) who I haven’t seen in like a decade. It was a good afternoon. I ate a ton for dinner and didn’t make great choices but given I ate way too little pre the like 4 hours of exercise I had today… I ended up fine in the end. Lol. Pics below of the hike also of the new ring for the right hand which arrived yesterday. Green tourmaline. I believe this is the ring I’ve been looking for this whole time. I got it yesterday and instead of thinking which ring is next I felt more like ahhhhh… this is the one.

@bradkcrew - congrats on maintenance! 🤗 I believe this calls for some random celebration planking with your family on Thanksgiving. ❤️ Lol.8

Nov 21:
✅✅✅ It rained here most of the day and was gloomy and overcast. My exercise today was 20 mins on the treadmill in the basement. I just couldn't muster up any more than that.
Pass Days Used: 2/3
@lesdarts180 I'm so sorry to hear that you were so close to your holiday, only to let it go.... but I completely understand too. I wouldn't have wanted to go alone. But what a bummer.
@mshawski I love your pictures! and of course, your new ring! I haven't had a chance to go look for my next one yet.
Laughter: My hubby makes me laugh. I think it's a favorite hobby of his - to try to see if he can make me laugh.... It's definitely good for what ails you! Lol.
My stomach is better today, but not 100%. I think it's something that I ate for breakfast yesterday. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be back to normal.6 -

Great reminder @LazyBlondeChef, I do have a sense of humour but it usually appears when all is right in my world and I'm anxiety free (which you know, is that a thing?) I actively looked for a comedy on Netflix tonight to wind down to, so hopefully I'll get a few laughs in. (Btw, The IT Crowd, Swedish Dicks and the first season of Modern Family are some of my favourite comedies on Netflix currently if anyone is looking for recommendations. Life in Pieces is cute too.)
Speaking of anxiety, sorry to hear about your cancelled trip @lesdarts180 . I can relate to your boyfriend's flying anxiety, I am the same. I hyperventilated before boarding the plane for our honeymoon and haven't flown in 31 years. I had to fly in 2019 as I accepted my current job on the condition that flying to some of our manufacturing plants could be required. I am on anti-anxiety meds now and flying a couple of hours in 2019 was tolerable - although I am not ready to fly over an ocean. Unfortunately anxiety is very debilitating and he may not be able to get over it.
Thank you for the Stretching vid @victorious55 . You've made it easy for me; that is one of the things I wanted to look into now that our pool is closed for the season. I just made a mental note to do so as I've noticed I'm starting to get really stiff again; it's been 3 weeks since I last swam.
Congratulations @bradkcrew!! What an impressive loss!
Sadly I didn't meet any of the 3 requirements today. It was a conscious choice. I'm going easy on myself today as we have had a huge announcement sent out at 4:55 pm on Friday and a meeting called tomorrow at 10:00 tomorrow to discuss what these changes will mean for our team. I'm working through my anxiety in order to be calm and present myself as pro company and excited for the change at the meeting tomorrow lol. And yes I'm at laughing at myself right now. And yes I laugh at myself quite often; it's either that or I'd be crying and it's really not a good look...
