I’ve been low carbing it since Sunday and keeping my calories on the low side to prepare for tomorrow, so my week balances out. I’m getting a jump start by making cranberry sauce this evening and roasting a couple butternut squashes for a salad I’m making. The rest I will do tomorrow 😋8 -

Exercise – yes
Tracking – yes

I went to the gym yesterday – first time since they closed in March 2020! I kept it short and light but I can feel it today. I need to do some strength work – I’ve been concentrating on heart and lung health and general fitness since Covid struck last year.
Had X-rays on my hips and left knee today – the physiotherapist is talking about a hip replacement.

Yesterday's topic/question has been on my mind for the whole day!
- Not letting a “pass day” become a “go hog wild day” and
- Once I hit 4 pass days, continuing to adhere to the 3 principles of the UAC
I will speak on the first one - Not letting a “pass day” become a “go hog wild day”
I speak to myself a lot in the third person.
These are some of the questions I ask myself that has help me over the years. Some of these questions are very graphic for me. These are crafted in such a way for me to see what I am doing in comparison to other things that I will never do in my life!- Do you take out all your glass cups/tumblers and break them because one of them slip from your hand and broke?
- Do you jump/roll down the other flight of steps because you slip on one?
- Do you take out your jewelries and destroy them because one of them break in your hands?
- Do you destroy all your plants because you mistakenly destroy one when taking care of them?
- Do you take out all your china and break them because one of them slip from your and broke?
- Can you say "YES" to any of these questions? Then why do you want to say YES to more pass days which means more food or no exercise, or no tracking?
- Whom are you trying to hurt? How long do you want to keep hurting yourself?
Most of the time by the 3rd or 4th question, the urge to continue stops. I forgive myself and click the reset button
I have made a note to always forgive myself and also offer myself some grace.
I made a list of these questions and more on put in my tracking book. I did WW for a sometime so I had my tracking book. Over the years, some variation of these questions have help me in other areas of my life.

AND a huge THANK YOU to you Teresa! I and so many of us are grateful to you for your leadership and dedication to this group.
🌟 Joined December UAC
🌟 Posted a “join us” message to the “challenges board”.
🌟 Posted a similar message to a thread in groups called “No Challenges” and tagged the correspondents
🌟 Sent a personalized invite to some of my MFP friends
🌟 I wish I had a reason to post for a fifth star — but perhaps living with holiday chocolates and goodies in the house but not eating them could count? 😂😂😂
For today:
Tracking - yes! Including pre-tracking for the third straight day. 😊
Calories - under (and will report back if that changes) 🥰
Exercise - 40 minute invigorating walk of the pup in -24 windchill. A real challenge to keep your face covered but your glasses from fogging/freezing. Tonight some more time on the treadmill to get my steps in and my core strength workout. ♥️
Thinking of all of you who will enjoy Turkey Day tomorrow and wishing you a wonderful day with those you love.

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes 25 minute walk and 30 minutes Pilates
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Nope - off by a bit
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes
Had to go to office today for work and bought a sandwich - but didn’t have my reading glasses with me and my poor tired eyes couldn’t read the labels. So I bought a delicious wrap that actually was way over calories. I decided to try and stay on track but not stress out about having a tiny diner to compensate and ended up a bit over. Nothing too drastic.
@Geneveremfp those stollen bites from
Lidl, how I love them! Impossible to only have one or two!

December already?3 -
Trying hard to be careful for tomorrow think I will be ok. Did 50 squats some flexibility and a 20 minute spin for a tad over 5 miles. I spent my day off in the kitchen cooking and with all the stretching I should have counted it as more fleck then when I tracked it lol.
Joined Dec and posted the value of this group hope others join and stay with us.4 -

I have an early morning flight tomorrow morning and will be returning Tuesday evening. For this vacation I'll be allowing the higher end of my maintenance calories plus active walking calories which is much higher than at home. Since I downloaded the app on my last trip I'm going to try to keep up with posting this time around. I still expect most of the days to be pass days even though I'll do my best to minimize restaurant calories. My partner has agreed to share a single appetizer and entree for most of our meals.
For Thanksgiving we have reservations at a brewpub with a fixed price meal of appetizer, entree (with the usual Thanksgiving accompaniments) and a dessert. We went to the same place back in 2018 and the portions were reasonable although I'll be going with prime rib rather than turkey as I don't particularly like the latter.
For those in the US I wish you an enjoyable Thanksgiving.

Exercise: lots of active-walking minutes in multiple stretches, for a total of ~ 9,500 at nearly-midnight.
Logged: everything
In Goal: all exercise calories (and there were LOTS) left untouched. Just the way the evening worked out.
Here I am, first month back after 7.5 months MIA .... only a week to go .... and still holding strong at only 2 pass days used. one was a mis-calculation on evening snack, and one was skipped exercise because of a cold coming on.
I am VERY pleasantly surprised at how well this month went (although .... admittedly being Canadian means that Turkey Day was in October, so didn't have any big Society or Family Events to work around. I wouldn't be surprised if December and the full force of Holly Daze requires more effort. Which means that Nov made a wonderfully strong base to face Dec from.6 -

Closed all my Apple watch rings today
4/3 Pass days used
These last few days have been a whirlwind of baking and cooking. Thankfully, I've been able to stay within calories, although it has been close a couple of times.6 -
3 Yesses, exercise was a 6 mile run. 🙂

Have used over 3 pass days this month, tomorrow will be a planned pass day--too much effort for me to try tracking Thanksgiving meal, I won't be exercising, and most likely will be over calories. Hoping though to indulge in moderation. 😋5 -

It was a harder day to stay on track because my mom is visiting and we're getting ready for Thanksgiving. And I had not preplanned the night before, because I had felt sick and went to bed early without doing any of my usual prep. But, I pulled it off.
Exercise - 45 minute walk (with my mom), 15 minutes MommaStrong
Tracking - Managed to log everything right before I ate it or right after, which is not the way I like to do it but it worked.
Calories - Under (barely)
Today is a planned pass day, but I have planned out breakfast and lunch and no afternoon snack. I am up early and about to go do my MommaStrong exercises. So ready to not make 1 planned pass meal be a whole pass day, as inspired by yesterday's post.
No time to join December right now but I will do that after Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to my 4th UAC month!4 -
