    @Pupowl I’m sorry to hear about your migraine, they are awful. It sounds like you did a great job getting through it.
    That weekend sounds wonderful, I wonder if we have bird huts where I live. That sounds like a great experience.

    All week long, I've been busy with work...Saturday is my day to get out, run around, feel energetic...and what does mother nature decide to do...have a gale warning, cold rain turning to snow and drop the temps over 30+ degrees! I'm over it! I'm ready for spring/summer and I want it gone. Now I'm stuck inside...have already walked over two miles, I'm bored, shopping and feeling quite cabin feverish!!!

    I'm gonna go pout and read a book. It just sucks...and I'm not happy about it.

    I live in Michigan. Yesterday we got a 1/2 inch of snow in the morning, by the afternoon it was 52°. Saturday, is was a high of 25° lol I feel your pain with the weather.

    @Pupowl sounds that you had a great few days.Belated Happy Birthday to you.So sorry that you also felt unwell when your Mom came to visit.I had a migraine a couple of weeks ago,not had one for about 20 years ! I think it was because I was out for a long walk & hadn't eaten enough.I take a few nuts & some chocolate with me now so it won't happen again.
    How lovely to see a bird you haven't seen before.I did the same last summer in a friend's garden.It was a Jay.
    I had a busy weekend socialising & walking with friends which was great.However this included drinking too much wine & lemon drizzle cake .Does anyone else on here relax too much at the weekends? Maybe that's why I'm not losing consistently.

    Loved the bird pics @Pupowl but I always say that about your lovely photos! I'd never heard of a container set up for bird watching...what an awesome concept...makes sense too that they'd have more freedom of movement if their sight of you is limited as that would take away their fear...someone is clearly creative with that one!! They're so delicate to watch...and colorful. Sweet little creatures...I'm on a facebook group for "all God's creatures" and they share the best pictures and most heart-warming stories...certainly helps to counteract all the bad news we hear daily!

    Keep em coming @Pupowl and anyone who posts pet pictures...love them!

    @izzyred9400 I'm with ya there...I can't stay away from cookies...but I'm getting better about only taking one or two a day...now THAT'S discipline...I should just stop buying them altogether, but then I crave them like mad. At least this way, I can learn to enjoy in limited portions.

    Not feeling 100% today...not sure if it's the daylight savings hour I lost last night or this last little shot of chilly weather, but all I want to do is lie down and curl up in a blanket. I've walked a little over a half mile so far...gotta get in at least another half mile later this evening. We shall see...

    Hope everyone is having a great day...hoping things won't be too hectic tomorrow. I'm three weeks away from a week of vacation and I can't wait because by then, the weather should be solidly in the 60s/70s here. FINALLY! I'm more than ready!!

    I should be happy with this because I know my choices haven't been great lately, but you know how it is...you always want the number to go down, even if you don't deserve it. SMH!!! I'm glad I pushed last week for my walking or it would have gone up. I'm packed my lunch for tomorrow, so hopefully I won't eat out. Must. Stay. In. Control.!!!!!!!!

    I accept it and move on. Earlier I reported I'd walked a little over a half mile. I just did another half mile so 1.09 for the day. I try to push during the first half of each month so that for the last half, I need at least a mile a day to hit my goal for the month. This month, I'm doing 40 intentional miles, so I'm down to needing just 16.5 to finish the goal. It's a system that works for me...

It's warming up here...all week this week it's to have a high of the upper 60s and Sat and Sun this week are going to hit 70! WOOHOOOOooooo!! Can't wait to rip and run errands on Saturday!     Thank you, I am very happy my migraines are very rare, I think this was the 4th one I have had. I guess I am usually pretty good at not going over my limits and I get plenty of warning with bad headaches that wont go away. In those cases going to bed will usually fix it.

    Thanks! I am pretty lucky that I get a lot of birds in the garden already, but the set up at the hut was much nicer for pictures. It made me want to create a natural feeding area for the birds in my garden as well. I will think on it some more. Weekends are hard for me too, even though they aren't social. My gym is all during the week which helps a lot to stay on track. It's not easy to balance everything.

    I appreciate the compliments! There are quite a few bird huts in my country. A lot of them also use mirrored glass, so the birds don't see anything at all. I hope you are feeling better today. I personally really dislike it when the time changes. Even though it is only an hour, it still takes a while to adjust, and I don't even live by the clock!

    Good morning Shape Shifters. I had a lazy day on purpose. My head was still not entirely happy with me. I did go to the grocery store to buy new painkillers and I will make sure I never run out again. I decided to skip the gym. A lot of activity tends to make my head feel worse and I didn't want to risk it. It was really nice to relax after having my mom around for 4 days. I really need a lot of alone time. I mostly read a lot, drank tea and gamed. I had to order new shoes as well. I ripped a hole in it somehow when I got stuck on the gate outside; still not sure how that happened. That alone wouldn't bother me enough, but then later in the day I saw that the sole is also letting go, so time for new ones, ugh. I will be heading to the gym today which will hopefully go well.

    Hey y'all...had a very interesting and exciting day at work today. Got a request from the 2nd highest IT person in my company's international office for a Teams meeting...he was very complimentary of my work and gave me a bonus package which was completely unexpected. I was floored to say the least...humbled and very grateful.

    Walked a half mile before work this morning...wanted to do more, but I was running a little late. Came home and walked another .64 for a total today of 1.17. I need to do a mile a day to hit my goal this month...really like pushing the first two weeks to see what I can accomplish and then setting a steady pace to finish out each month's goal. YAY!

    @jessicakrall8 Congratulations on your bonus package ! I'm sure you worked hard for it,always good to get rewarded & appreciated for your efforts.You're doing great with your walking goals.
    My steps were not very good today as I was finishing painting my bathroom so didn't want to get paint on my activity tracker watch! I got changed to go to the gym this evening but made the mistake of sitting infront of the TV & fell asleep !! I seem to be so tired lately,maybe it's still effects of covid,I hope not & hope my Mojo returns.

    Good morning Shape Shifters. I had a pretty normal day again. Finally made it to the gym, though I wasn't in the mood at all (which isn't unusual). My workout went well. I tried to do 3 sets of everything which worked for about half of the exercises. My food was too high. I really need to get that under control and fast.

    Oh, that is awesome, enjoy the bonus! Having a stepgoal that is doable but still a challenge is really nice. That is what I like about the step challenge as well.

    Sounds like your body really needed some rest. I wouldn't be surprised if it is still from being sick. A lot of people seem to have some lasting effects. I hope you will go back to your old self soon. I know how awful it is to be tired all the time.

    Y'all I have been a ghost cause I was binging like no one's business!!! HELP!! IM BACK TO 199!!!! Y'all I'm so miserable! I hide instead of asking for help and I desperately need some help!! Got some parasite cleanse coming Incase I picked something up from the animals!! Hopefully that will help! I logged yesterday all 2500 calories!! I am gonna give this my all y'all if I disappear someone come slap me pleeeeeeaaaasssseeee I'm hiding in a closet and eating!! 3615826068 laceygaywilson@gmail.com for real don't let me hide and eat!!     Man, I can not keep my weight down, ugh. I need to start working out more often, but I havent been able to sleep at night, then Im too tired to get up in the morning, but I know If I get up and workout, I will sleep better. I just have to do it because diet alone, I just cant seem to do it.

    I was out of town for a sculpture class and had a wonderful time with my fellow artists. When I returned, I had to put my sweet eighteen year old cat, Bubba, to sleep. So it's been highs and lows and I was definitely off track. But I'm back and excited about continuing my journey to health.
