This weekend, people all over the world will be celebrating Passover and Easter. And with the holidays comes an abundance of food. For some people, this is exciting and something they look forward to. After all, most holidays have traditional foods that only come around this time of year.
But for many, the holidays with all the food favorites cause quite a bit of worry, and maybe even fear.

Not just for Easter (which we celebrate) but because today is my birthday and I was really debating with myself over whether Iβd take a pass day. π₯³π₯³π₯³
The article and your post helped me decide that I am tracking everything today and making good #healthfirst choices. It is my birthday gift to myself and I am happy with that as it feels good to me. I did allow myself to sleep in this morning (so no morning exercise to report today @snowshoe072 ) but getting it all done today nonetheless. β β β
We were to be up in Saskatoon for our daughterβs βcall to the bar & signing of the rollβ ceremony (already one year delayed) and my birthday dinner. The ceremony has now been postponed again β until May. π We can do my birthday dinner at the rescheduled date. The threatening winter storm helped make the decision to postpone just travelling for the birthday dinner. @Mrs_Hoffer5 -

Tracked logged and did a 2 mile walk at lunch and some morning meditation hoping that spring is really here this time.
Easter brunch with my parents and family at their home, we are each providing a couple of dishes so it will be less hectic at grandmas! I know that I will need to be careful but with brunch I wonβt be cooking a large meal for dinner so that should off set any extra calories with that said some exercise will still be required.6 -

I had set myself a couple of mini goals for today which were: No chocolate and go for a walk. Iβm pleased to say that I reached both goals π I thought Iβd struggle with not having any chocolate as it had become a problem for me, but I didnβt even think twice about it today. It might have something to do with the fact that I switched to low-carb eating today and I felt full after eating food such as turkey, eggs and cheese.
My plan is to continue with low-carb for now and just play it by ear. I also plan to go for another long(ish) walk tomorrow.
No big plans for Easter but Iβll be helping my toddler create an Easter bonnet as he has a little competition at nursery on the Monday. Weβll also be painting/decorating some boiled eggs to roll down a hill (this has always been a tradition at Easter in our family and I used to love doing it when I was a child)

We will be hosting Easter brunch for the first time in a few years with my extended family. We used to host a big Easter dinner in past years, but excited to be able to try different dishes this time. On the menu will be sourdough hot cross buns (proofing as I type), artichoke frittata, asparagus and goat cheese tart, smoke salmon crostini, salad, berries, rosemary-honey-almond tart, and coconut macaroons. Definitely not low-cal, low-fat or low anything. Probably too much food, but it in many ways it is a refrigerator/pantry clean-out kind of meal. Went to the grocery store today to shop for the meal and only really had to pick up the smoked salmon and heavy cream for the rosemary-honey tart. Any leftovers will be gladly consumed by my daughter and her boyfriend who arrive a couple of days after Easter.3 -

No big plans for Easter this year. We did buy a small cake from the grocery store that's very cute, and my husband and I will exchange a few small chocolate eggs and such. Oddly enough, I'm STILL eating my stash from last year. This would have been unheard of before.. I would have torn through it all in a couple of days. A fun reminder of the control I have now!

The weather was good, I had a longer bike ride over the hills noticing the blossom. Bluebells, birds etc. Then was suddenly hit by a very powerful βagriculturalβ pong! Cycled through it, trying not to breathe ha ha!π
Spent over an hour in the afternoon washing the motorhome β hard work with lots of bending and stretching β couldnβt find an entry in the exercise database so recorded it as βcleaningβ
My daughter is stopping by for lunch on Saturday β on her way home from holiday in Cornwall. And Iβm doing roast lunch on Sunday for my mum and boyfriend. Thatβs it for Easter.
