WELCOME to all walkers!
Happy April Fools Day No fooling ๐, it really is true that today it is time to start the new monthly challenge for April 2022!
This group is open to any and all walkers. The majority of us use Leslie Sansone's Walk At Home method using DVDs or by streaming, as well as various other kinds of workouts. Other indoor choices might be the treadmill, as well as other walking instructors, or strength, yoga or many other exercise programs available on line or DVDS.
Outdoors there are also those great walks or hikes outside on the trails or pathways that are available to us, or a walk in our neighborhood. All of these many options count toward our steps, miles, or minutes. However you get your walk in, come on in and join us! Post your strength workouts or steps/ miles/ minutes that you have walked, however you worked out...or count it, it is all good!
The goal that you choose is your own personal goal for this month ๐๐ .
If you find this group any time during the month it doesn't matter which day of the month that you join in. Just set your goals to reflect what you hope to accomplish during the remaining days of this month. It is never too late to join in , you are always welcome!

I went hard and ran outside yesterday for 3 miles and today my muscles are sore and I'm having trouble even motivating to do 1 mile. It was hard because it was the first really nice day to get outside and enjoy sun but I should have paced myself.1

Just starting up again after major back injury/pandemic sloth period. Pretty much coming off a years long couch potato period.
I always loved doing steps before all that, and and am so impressed and inspired by the numbers i see posted here!
Don't laugh, but I'm averaging 1500 steps a day now, and my goal is to up my game by 500 basic steps each day for the rest of the month.
Maybe next month i can add some Sansone moves as well. Gotta start somewhere!1 -

Glad you found us. Yes! You do have to start somewhere and we are looking forward to supporting you in those moves.
Girls,, this weekend I had nearly no pain in my heels. It was amazing while it lasted. My PT is complete for the most part and am moving into no hands on PT for the next couple of weeks to see how I do on my own. ๐

Yesterday. I hit my added 500 step goal plus 1000. Today, I didn't hit my goal and my legs felt very sore. I think I may have these irregular days as I'm so out of shape now.
I have a total number of steps in mind for this month and a pedometer that lets me see day/week/month totals. So, I'm not stressing the down days for now, and will push forward on the others.
I think that will work for now. My biggest enemy is getting discouraged.
