Hi everyone! It's a GORGEOUS weekend in Michigan .. yesterday hit 80, and today is supposed to be low 70's. HEAVENLY. Then it will get into the 40's this week again, so we won't get used to it. We sure did enjoy it yesterday, though! A friend had given Jim and me tickets to see the Redwings, so we spent most of the day in Detroit. The big Tigers game was going down simultaneously, and we watched Miguel Cabrera get his 3000 hit on a big screen across the street from that game.

Jim is going in to work for a bit today, so we'll do church and then I'll do stuff at home. We are less than 2 months from Dd22's wedding now, and she wants me to paint a Bible for them that they'll have out with highlighters so that people can mark their favorite verses and sign them. I think that's such a cool idea! I may work on that today while he's gone. I've got pretty much all the flowers ready.

We're also planning to surprise them by learning some of the more common line dances so we can do them with everyone at the reception. I always want to join in, but I never feel brave enough to learn the dance in front of everyone for the first time. So, Friday night after date night we youtubed the Electric Slide, the Cupid Shuffle, and Wobble. We're NOT very good at them - HA! But we'll be able to stumble along by then.

Gorgeous weather here too. Yesterday hit upper 80’s. Today, lower 80’s. Back into the 60’s tomorrow.

Very nice in Tumwater, too, but 20 degrees cooler. Yesterday was a pleasant reminder of what "normal" April is supposed to feel like. Another nice day, today, before February returns tomorrow: rainy and high 40s.

We had a great day yesterday. Hiked at McAurthur- Burney state park and less populated trails then the crowded one to the falls. We stopped at the stand by me bridge for a photo (literally nothing to do there…was hoping for a picnic table to have lunch. Then went to a Lava tube cave…took a wrong turn out of the exit and ended up on the Pacific Coast trail…knew it was wrong g but got in another mile or two before we looped back to the parking lot. It was 60 or so but sunny.

Dad had to evacuate late yesterday as the grass fire was near. He took a suitcase and the Baracuda to his girlfriends in town while she was helping her daughter and twins pack up. We have some papers (birth certificate, marriage license, SS cards) in his safe but otherwise I don’t need him to save anything of ours. Haven’t heard from him today so assume he can head home. They need rain terrible bad.
