Another pass day
I am really struggling here. It was takeout Friday at my house, and the night before I had requested that we get it from a restaurant that did not tempt me and I would eat leftovers instead. But then that restaurant is not doing takeout on Fridays and weekends (welcome to "post-covid" life I guess). So we ordered from a restaurant that tempted me, and I changed my eating plan to eat some food from that restaurant. And I did adjust my tracking plan and preplan, but it's the nibbling of the sides that does it from this restaurant and I tried not to do that but I failed. And then still the birthday cake for bedtime snack because... it's still there.
I did go for a walk and stretch and go to bed early and I'm up early today.
This weekend is also full of challenges and I have pre-planned my food for the whole weekend and strategized and reminded myself that it's not all about the food it's about the fun and we'll see how it goes... lots of walking planned, anyway...2 -

I had a similar problem a couple of weeks ago - I did Sunday lunch for myself, boyfriend and mum - and mum brought a lemon tart that was supposed to serve 8 portions. I cut it in half and then cut four slices from one half. I persuaded mum to take the uncut half home with her but I still had one slice left. I resisted it the next day but then the following day I binned it. It was a delicious tart and I hate wasting food but I really did not want to eat over 300 calories in one sweet dish. I binned it quickly just after breakfast when I was feeling full and not feeling tempted by it.
Also, my boyfriend has given me a small box of chocolates (Easter gift) which I am ignoring for now. I opened the box and we had one each but the box has been put away now. I must admit, the chocolate is not particularly tempting, he thinks it's really good but it's just fairly ordinary milk chocolate and I prefer dark chocolate with extras. I have a bar of dark chocolate with raspberries that is waiting to be started on. I shall eat it in small portions, about 100 calories at a time when I open it.

Daughters are home and we're showing DD #1's boyfriend around this week (first time to this area). All was going well with a breakfast and a hike in the redwoods near the coast. The eating downfall was drinks and dinner at our friend's beach place. They love to entertain and do it so well with lots of little bowls of nibbles, homemade grilled pizza, lots of different kinds of cookies. I think that one of my issues is that when there is such a variety of stuff, I like to have a tasted of them all. Consequently, I am now above my maintenance range goal. Good wake-up call for how to live in maintenance.2 -

Since Thursday I've been so busy helping to host a couple retreat. I've gotten plenty of exercise. Burned any extra calories I may have eaten. So I'd say those were covered.and I logged.0 -
