Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

It's Non-Scale Victory Day!
Today is the day to celebrate a Non-Scale Victory from the last month or from your entire weight loss journey. Inspire all of us with what you have achieved!
Image from: https://cleanfoodcrush.com/non-scale-victories/ (not a source I know anything about - just found it by searching for Non-Scale Victory images, but I like the image).
Another interesting article about Non-Scale Victories:

I look forward to learning from all of you.3 -
I fit on all the rides!!!!! I have had the unfortunate walk out of que in the past for the restraint not fitting me and it was so embarrassing and disheartening. NOT this time!!!! I had so much fun at Universal and Islands of adventure! I conquered every coaster! I also out walked the 2 young ladies I was with. I think I had the most fun as the smile on my face was genuine and I was content. Tired but content. They looked miserable.13

Another pass day. Dinner was too difficult to estimate. But no beer and no ice cream today.
2 hour cycle ride - with a steep hill included - in the morning and 3 short swims in the pool this afternoon.7 -

NSVs for May
I have a couple this month:
1. Yesterday and today, two different neighbours stopped to chat and said they had wondered who was out walking Beauregard, and then realized it was me. 🥸
2. I have been able to stop my morning GERD medication (still taking one before bed). Last month my NSV was stopping my morning blood pressure medication. 😍
3. I realized the other day that I just pulled my jeans down without undoing the button or zipper. Hmmm. Perhaps I need to size down? 😂😂😂 I have no idea what size I am now. Next weekend, we’ll have passed the last days of frost predicted and I’ll be getting the summer clothes out to figure out what I need.
So, quite pleased!10 -

I love hearing about everyone's NSV!
I have 2 NSV's related to my recent backpacking trip last weekend. The first was that I needed new hiking pants since all of mine were too large. I asked a sales person for help finding a size 10 and she looked at me and said, "I hope I'm not overstepping, but you look like a size 8." Sure enough, size 8 it was. I haven't worn that size since 8th grade!
The second was as we were hiking out, my daughter and I were going so fast that my husband thought we had to had to use the bathroom. :-) Nope - we were just fast.
As an aside, I weighed myself with my packed backpack on and together we weighed less than just me the first time I went backpacking in October.6 -

Love this because I too love rides and when I was overweight I started to avoid them to avoid any potential embarrassment.
I am at weight now that this will no longer be a concern so I have a trip planned to Canada's Wonderland in July to fulfill this desire
Thanks for sharing4 -

The only thing I can think of I that I have noticed lately is that finally I don´t breathe noticeably harder going up the stairs. Stair climbing seems to have been one of the last fitness things to come back for me--- even when I regained the ability to swim for an hour, I was still noticing the effort of climbing up just one flight of stairs. I think I had lost a lot of strength in my quads and hamstrings and all the bending of gardening has finally been helping those.

Wow - so many great NSV’s! These were such fun to read, and very inspiring. The only thing that comes to mind for me, is my energy level. I’ve become an energizer bunny, it takes a lot to really wear me out - the more energy I expend, the more that gets created. Didn’t happen overnight, but seems like I can go and go and go some more.
@tahm42 - oh goodness your post makes me smile so much! Especially the “they looked miserable” - good for you!
@TerriRichardson112 - your “daily accomplishments” list is brilliant. I just might do the same
@stella7x7 - 24 inches is AWESOME! Kudos to you!
@jmu1965 - I bet your granddaughter loved loved loved playing tag with her grandma. Good for you!
@jamcnewman - wow, wow, and wow. Your NSV’s are incredible. I especially loved how your neighbors didn’t realize it was you walking the dog!
@enlightenme3 - “ as we were hiking out, my daughter and I were going so fast that my husband thought we had to had to use the bathroom. :-) Nope - we were just fast.” I could not possibly love this more.
@ashleycarole86 - congrats on your metric century! What a fantastic accomplishment!5 -
May 15
Was supposed to be my back on track day, but not quite.
Exercise: 15 minutes MommaStrong D15 and probably could count the 3 loads of laundry I did (laundry in basement, my closet on 3rd floor) as another 5 minutes of exercise. I did not leave the house, and I took a long nap to recover from all the fun the day before so it wasn't the most active day!
Tracking: Planned the day
Calories: Followed the plan for the most part except that I made pancakes for the kids in the morning and ate the batter while I was cooking and then my son wanted 2 pancakes but only ate one so I ate his leftovers too. And then my digestive system was unhappy all day so I think I did cure myself of that. I hope! Because Sunday pancakes is becoming a thing and I'd like to be able to do it without getting myself in trouble.
My NSV is getting back on track after April vacation/indulgence. And then of course undoing all the progress Thurs - Sat with reunion. But I will get back on track again!

Well, there goes my 3rd pass day! And I still have two more events this month.
It was my good friend’s 90th birthday, and we had him over for dinner. I made his favorites. Paella mixto on the grill, and of course, a decadent dessert. The day started fine, until we were outside for an hour, with me tending the grill and Judy pouring the wine. I started dinner with a huge salad to fill us up so we wouldn’t overeat. That worked - sorta. I had a reasonable serving of paella and a small portion of dessert. I sent all the leftovers home with him so I wouldn’t be tempted. It was all as planned.
Except the wine. We all had too much wine. And more wine. That was not in my budget. I’ve noticed that when I drink, my commitment to the plan goes out the window. So after everyone was gone, I started snacking, and snacking, and snacking. I certainly wasn’t hungry; I just wanted “something”. The wine won this round. New day today.
Exercise ✅
Tracking ✅ yup- all of it.
