    Good morning!

It does seem like nobody really wants to work these days. I was taught that unless you have a fever, you are at work.

Dave, I hope that you have a great hike today.

It has been a long time since I have had some garden grown potatoes.

We are expecting cooler temps today in the upper 80s or low 90s. We need the break.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

You're up early, Steve. I woke at 3:30 and thought "What the heck. I'll get to the trailhead early." So, I got up. Now I am doing a quick check-in before packing my lunch.

I'm hiking up to Flapjack Lakes, in Olympic National Park. I've done this one at least once every year for the last decade, at least. It's a long, steep one that is kind of my self-test of hiking ability. I have said I want to hike this when I am 80. Eight more years to go.

    Mornin' gents.

'Taters are fun to grow and definitely taste better out of your own garden. That said, its been 5 seasons or more since I have grown them.
Feeling fatigued today. Need to get motivated and go to work. Its you go to work unless you are bleeding from the eyes in our house. If you have a fever, take some tylenol. DW cracks the whip.
Saw a fishing buddy yesterday and we have plans to hit the salt in me boat this weekend if the weather holds.
    Have a good hike, Dave.

    Be OP ;-)

    Mornin'

Back from NH, had a nice visit with DB. Split a bunch of fat logs with his 6 ton log splitter, talked a lot about everything, and went out to dinner 3 times-- burgers, pizza and Mexican. Had hoped to hike, but his spinal stenosis is really touchy and he only walks 1/2 mile on a treadmill once a day. He and Jill were big hikers, did all 48 of the 4,000-footers in NH, hiked in the Alps and Pyrenees. He might get surgery, a "laminectomy"?, which could fix it.

Cardiologist today. Will also visit DD Alison and GKs for an hour.

I'll catch up on the last few days of roll call, later when I get a chance...

Seems I lost 2# somewhere in NH.

    Good Morning

Standing O for Mike who was eating burgers, pizza & Mexican food in NH and managed to drop a couple of pounds. I can gain 2 just thinking about such things. Of course, I am making quesadillas for dinner tonight. But we eat Mexican quite a bit. I am getting ready to make some tacos al pastor for my son who loves them. A bit of work so they will wait till Heather is here to enjoy.

Temps are supposed to drop just under 100 today. Bone dry with single-digit humidity yesterday. Outdoor chores are on hold. I will do some cardio by walking in place indoors which makes it just exercise but will be able to get back to doing the mat workout now that I am feeling better. I made an executive decision to keep my dulcimer on the first floor where it is cooler and I don't particularly enjoy climbing the stairs just to play for 30 minutes. I will get guidance on my decision when Heather returns home next weekend.
