Good morning!
Connie and I don't have a will yet, and it is something that I need to do. One thing that my mother taught me, and really helped me when she passed. She had a notebook with everything in it. I have a notebook prepared for Connie. In it is a list of all of my passwords, our bank accounts, insurance policies, 401(k) information, and anything else that I can think of that she might need if I die before she does.
I cannot believe that it is the end of June already. I'll be preparing month end payroll this morning.
I hope everyone has a great day!

Another cool, clear morning. Dropping my car off at the garage, a mile up the road from me, and will walk back home. Oil change checking brakes. Will soon be time for additional maintenance as it approaches 100,000 miles.
Well, I booked a campsite near DD & DSIL's new vacation home in Maine, staying 4 days, a week from Friday. Can't wait to see it. Other DD and family will be visiting one day as well, on their way back from Acadia Natl Park. Will be 6 DGK's, should actually be fun. A long time in coming--the home's builder had put the septic system on their neighbor's lot and it took a lot of schmoozing plus a lawyer to iron it all out. Afterwards, if the weather holds out, I might drive out to remote western Maine for a few more days at Chain of Ponds Maine Public Lands (free campsites), before I come back for my treadmill test.
Putting up dried meals, making menus, paying bills, puttering around my condo the rest of the day.
Lee, maybe an apple a day will keep the doctor away.0 -
Mornin' gents.
Planning to hit the salt tonight with a buddy. Always an adventure when fishing in the dark.
We have a will and trust set up. But sadly, I would be so lost if my DW predeceases me. She does ALL our financial stuff. She scoffs at me when I suggest she write anything down.
Feeling better since upping my daily dose of prednisone from 1mg to 2.5mg. That is still a really low dose. That is what I would give a cat daily to manage it's asthma, but somehow it helps me.
Bill, that is a brutal HVAC bill, and so sorry it will take TWO more weeks. Thank goodness your hot weather is breaking a bit.
Be OP ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
Good luck on the water, Lee. Hope the stripers are biting.
We updated our will several years ago and also have living wills and directives filed with the legal office at the Army hospital. Rita handles most of our financial stuff, but she is terrified that I will die before her. I have promised to outlive her. I won't die until at least a week after she does, so I can dust and vacuum and leave the house clean.
Sassy ate a bowl full of apple crisp topping yesterday. After four or five hours she seemed OK so I let her into the family room with us - and she threw up all over the carpet. That got her a night sleeping in the kitchen and me a night on the couch in the next room, to be close to her. She seems fine this morning.0 -
Good Morning0'0
I am glad you are finally getting out in the boat Lee.
We don't have a will, we keep meaning to get around to it. I suppose we should do a simple one. Do I actually need to pay an attorney for this?
Temps are finally dropping out of the 90's to the low 80's. So I am able to sit outside, drink coffee and think about getting things done. I try to get a little gardening done each morning before it gets too hot, but that shouldn't be a problem today. With better temps in the house, I am able to get some things done again.0 -
Wills are easy to create on net and generally cost less than $30.00; just be sure to sign and get notarized.
Should include living will. Great for simplicity; not good for very large estates and/or trust.
Remember each state has different probate laws so make sure complies with individual state.0
