Mornin'
Yesterday's oil change turned into a brake and transmission job almost as expensive as Bob's AC repair. At least I know my car will go and stop from now on.
I spent the day paying bills and carving pieces of an old canoe seat to make clamps for the feet of a piano action. Making an action cradle from scraps of wood and some nuts, bolts and washers, another DIY project.
Piano lesson this morning. Pieces are starting to get harder, but I find I'm learning. I can sight-read the earlier ones far easier than when I started 7 weeks ago.
I don't have a will yet, I keep thinking I should do one but don't seem to get to it. Instead of a Living Will I plan to do a healthcare proxy (medical power of attorney). Specifying medical treatments to use or decline before knowing the diagnosis seems risky. You might say do not tube-feed, and then have a car accident tomorrow and go into surgery to save your life, then starve to death in the recovery phase. A proxy is more flexible.
DS's transplant clinic appointment yesterday got cancelled because he has a fever. COVID-19 PCR test results should come back today, hopefully. Fingers crossed.
June 30. My boss used to celebrate "Fiscal New Year's Eve" when I worked for the state. Took us out on his pontoon boat one year.

Good morning gentlemen.
I'm driving down to Oregon this morning, to see my mom, and also meet with my siblings about managing mom's affairs.

Mornin' gents.
Just up from nap. Dogs are begging for me to pay some attention. Striped bass, and all other fishes eluded us last night.
Now got to play with pups.

Good Morning
I am glad you got out Lee
Cooling trends continue as we drop into the 70's thanks to some rain that passed well north of the Bay Area. I had a good time putzing about in the garden taking it slowly. I will do a bit more tomorrow so I don't over do it. Cleaning up the alstroemeria is a bit back intensive so a little bit goes a long way. I did an Advanced Healthcare Directive which includes the medical power of attorney, several years back. I reviewed it with the family, which they did not enjoy0
