Dennis - our developer started community with 1800 homes in 2015; more parcel grew us to 2300; now rumblings of another parcel for a few hundred more. We lobbied hard in 2018 for reduction in population density and succeeded only for a new County leader to overturn that with developer donations. #CrookedSystem!

Sassy wasn't content with the apple crisp incident. Yesterday she decided it was fun to see how deep a hole she could dig, right in the middle of one of Rita's flower beds. Also, we can't get rid of the aroma from her throwing up on the carpet. We'll have to borrow DS's steam cleaner, I think. So it goes.
I am driving down to Oregon this morning. My siblings and I will sign some papers relating to management of our mom's affairs. The goal is to avoid some of the bite from Oregon's estate tax when we inevitably lose mom. She will be 99 in November.0 -

Who's doing what this holiday weekend? I miss taking the kids every year to the 9am parade with my Mom, for years we did that on the morning of the 4th! I hope to have similar traditions with gkids some Day!

Our housesit is 3 months. We have lots to do to wrap up living in the US full time and it’s so nice to have a great place to do it.
We took homeowners to dinner last night. Casual Mexican place. Bill was more than our Costco/ supermarket run. Crazy. It was delicious thankfully.
Today will be unpacking and settling in. We plan to go thru everything and get rid of a few things and plan what will go to dads. Of course Ron has been up for hours so things are strewn about. I’m having coffee and socials time first.0 -
