    Good morning!

Somehow, I forgot to sign in yesterday.

I am very glad that today is Friday! This week has been a long week of Mondays. It will be good to have a three day weekend.

I see the doctor at 2:00 this afternoon to discuss why I am so sleepy and fatigued all of the time. I don't know what to expect from this visit, but I'm hoping for more than a pat on the head and maybe tweaking the meds. I don't want to do another sleep study, but maybe some bloodwork would be OK.

We are back into the nasty heat. I like hot weather, I don't like the humidity.

I hope that Sassy is back on track and feeling better. Poor puppy.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Hope the doc visit is productive, Steve.

I had a long day, yesterday. Drove 160 miles to Salem and spent the day with mom, sister and brother. Took an hour and a half of us signing our names to a bunch of trust documents at a bank. On the drive back, I hit Portland right at rush hour - never fun.

My sister gave me a large painting she did for me. Now I need to find a good place to hang it.

Today is Sassy's birthday. That year has gone by in a hurry. We'll take her on a nice walk and give her some special treats.

Dave, nice of your sis to do a painting for you. How's is your DM after her COVID bout?

Steve, hope the doc visit is productive. Are you still on CPAP? I use Oscar (free) CPAP software and put the memory card from the machine in my laptop to see how treatment is working. Lots of charts and stats.

Piano lesson was good yesterday. I'm intimidated by having to play in front of the class (4 people) which disrupts my concentration, but that makes me practice more at home. It probably builds concentration in the end. Like Tiger Woods' father who used to distract him while he was putting, to build his discipline and concentration. I think it's a Buddhist thing...

DS's PCR test was negative, thankfully, and he's now in NY State camping with GF's family.

Today I'm planning menus for my camping trip. I do a daily menu, then a shopping list, then make some dried meals, and then pack each meal in its own ziploc bag. I pack the meals in larger bags for each day, the last day going on the bottom of a canoe drybag, up to the first day on top. A bit of work, but saves time and prevents chaos at the campsite. Nothing refrigerated and very few cans- light weight, plus won't spoil.

Cool 60º at dawn but hitting 90º this afternoon.

Have a good Friday and enjoy the freedom very few in the rest of the world have.

Good Morning & Happy Canada Day!

I hope for a fruitful Dr visit, Steve. Enjoy the long weekend from the office.

    Mike, you continue to amaze

A late check-in as I got things going early this morning and kept going. I was exhausted yesterday, likely due to several long sneezing attacks and trying to keep busy till I ran out of gas. I slept like a rock last night. Yesterday was a bad allergy day, which I am new to. My arthritis in my hands was really bad and I was thankful for the Tylenol ER. Have any of you guys ever noticed a correlation? My sinus' are better today and so are my hands. Got a variety of protein for the weekend grilling. Linguisa & Andoulie tonight. Any advice on doing ribs on the Weber. I know it is low and slow indirect heat. Some say foil pack some say not. How say you?

    3, 2, 1 method, Bill.

225 degrees....3 hours to smoke, 2 wrapped in foil, 1 hour unwrapped +/- basting

Bill, I put a dry rub on my ribs night before cooking (brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, dry mustard and chili powder) I usually plan on cooking 5 - 6 hrs low heat like Lee said
