    We made it. Thankfully the weekend.

    Got Vette registered for “Vettes for Vets” military community car show and fundraiser next weekend. Just hoping to “place” in one of the five categories.

    Having neighbors for some fun outdoor time tonight. Sunny and 93 today will make for great afternoon and evening of pool time.

    Hope all enjoy the long weekend. Safe and sound.

    Good morning BBB friends.

    Survived the drive down to Salem and back, yesterday. Awful traffic coming back through Portland. Got some paperwork done at the bank with mom, brother and sister. My sister gave me a large painting she did for me. She has become pretty prominent in the Salem art scene, with two separate shows going on. Now I have to figure out a good place to hang it.

    Today is Sassy's birthday. It's been an eventful year.

    Pay day, and short work day! Let's get vacation started!

    Heading to the Rome farmers market opening at 9am

    Took the boat out last night and everything was fine. Usually Capn Tom handles that. Ds2 even found a couple blue gill. Tom should be here by 6pm.yay

    Brought my flags for my lake yard decor!

    Going to happy hour to paint rocks with some neighbor ladies this afternoon.

    Picked up a couple books at the local library yesterday. Valerie Bertinelli's new one. I always found her life with Van Hallen interesting.

    Todays goal is to sort all my clothes and see how heavy my pack is. Aiming for 40# or less. We have a box of donations started.

    Then pool this afternoon.

    Sam, that goes back to the time that I retired before her and picked up those duties. Apparently, there is no going back.
