    Morning

    Great afternoon yesterday in pool with blistering hot temps. Interrupted by a quick deluge while we were hosting. Ended evening sipping around the fire pit.

    Two firework displays visible to us from back yard and Tucker was oblivious to the sounds - more interested in chasing bugs with bright lighted bums. We are thankful no sedatives were required. Thanks Doc, Lee!!!

    Out to nice (late) anniversary dinner tonight downtown DC. Looking forward.

    Been delinquent.
    Glad Tucker seems to be good with fireworks. Distraction is generally helpful unless the anxiety is great. It is probably the thinking of his next ride in the new 'Vette distracting him.
    Hit the salt Wednesday night, pulled an all nighter and still feeling a little discombobulated. Going to do it again tonight.
    Hope your mum is doing OK, Dave. Sounds like you and your sibs got things lined out.
    Kelly, hope you are getting in some you time now that all that painting is done.

    Good morning BBB friends.

    My sister has promised me a painting for years, and she finally gave me one of her works when I was down in Oregon. The painting is now hanging in our entryway, where guests will see it when they come in - and we'll see it every time we come down the stairs.

    Our July 4th weekend is going to be cool, cloudy and damp. OK for those of us who just stay home. Tough luck for the hordes of campers.

    Fireworks are illegal in most municipalities around here, but widely available, as all the tribes have dozens of fireworks stands. Usually, that means we start hearing occasional pyrotechnics going off days before the 4th. This year, I have heard nothing. No way, yet, to gauge how Sassy will react. There were some blasts on New Year's Eve that didn't seem to bother her. Fingers crossed.

    Morning BBB

    No real plans this weekend. Have a BIG honey do list we need to get started on. Mostly organization of online life, figuring out international stuff like cell phone etc.

    Spent about 30 minutes in the pool yesterday and about an hour on the patio in the shade. With temps of 108 that seemed enough for one day.

    Boat outing today - canceled because of sun exposure. Willie Nelson concert on Monday - tickets given away for the same reason.

    And I'm sleeping in the other room because Cecilia can't be sure she had Chicken Pox before. 😢
