Warm and muggy here.
Tomatoes and peppers doing well. I sprinkled melorganite on garden beds and around the flowers to discourage deer. Seems to work pretty well for me, although a neighbor has a deer fence surrounding his entire yard. He isn't a very friendly guy and I am guessing he has as low a tolerance for deer as he does for his neighbors. I have to say, my late garden is looking good. Kind of a happy accident this year.
Mike must be on his way to his campsite.
Do you have a facility in mind for DMIL, Sam?
How was the 16 miler, Dave?
Still waiting on AC, Bill?
Be OP ;-)

Good morning!
We have a garden, but we are also growing a ton of weeds in it. I need to get out there. We have either had rain, or oppressive heat. I have not worked in the garden, or outside, much at all.
We are in an oppressive heat warning for the next two days. Heat indexes above 110, and dew point above 72.
I have been taking the Wellbutrin now for five days. I can tell a positive difference. I am for sure feeling a little less fatigue, and I am feeling more energy. I am relived. I know that it will take several weeks to really "settle in", but this is encouraging.
Sam, prayers for the situation with DMIL. That is an extremely hard choice.
Have a great day!

Good morning gentlemen.
Glad you are feeling better, Steve.
My 16-miler ended up being 13 miles. My memory of how far it was to my turn-around point was faulty. Beautiful day on the trail. I saw no major fauna, but two pileated woodpeckers, a garter snake and countless butterflies. I ate my lunch sitting on a huger rock above a deep and mysterious-looking hole in the river, with large yellow and black butterflies constantly flying over and landing on me and my pack. Maybe I taste like a flower? A pretty good up and down on this one as the route climbs up and over a mountain. 2,600 feet of vertical.
Some showers today, so no yard work. We really need to get to the store for some groceries. Dining with DS's clan tonight.0 -
Good Morning
I am glad the hike went well Dave and you were able to commune with the butterflies.
Picking a care facility can not be an easy thing to do but it is worth it to find the right place.
I ended up being a bit under the weather yesterday but seem to have recovered. My back seems to be a mess so I will work on getting it to a happy place while I try to get more things done around here. I am still spending too much time watching Wimbledon so I try to work a bit while I watch. No A/C till next week at the earliest. But we have cloud cover due to the weather further up the coast.0 -
I have a place in mind for DMIL; problem is them having an opening. One I like is an older home but has been refurbished in past two years only about 4 miles from our home and we know most of workers there. Our hands are going to be tied though when DW and DSIL agree to assisted living, she will be assigned a case worker who will find a place with opening that her income will cover along with Medicaid.
Glad we mulched garden it is totally too HOT to be out there very long
Heat is causing storms every afternoon with high humidity, heat index about 110; actual high 95
Glad meds are helping Steve.
I'm feeling much better as blood pressure goes up closer to normal.0 -
I leave tomorrow for Maine. Very busy since early morning doing laundry, last minute packing and errands, and finding my way amidst an avalanche of camping gear scattered all around my condo. I like Dave’s idea—ramen noodles and canned beans.
