    Sam, I have never heard of deer taking bites out of the tomato fruit...I think you need a garden cam and I found a solar powered one on amazon for you that is reasonably priced. I think I will get one as well because DW is warring with what we believe are raccoons raiding our bird feeder at night.

    Good morning gentlemen.

    Before we fenced in the backyard, deer used to eat our tomatoes as soon as they started to turn orange. Never touched the green ones.

    Our two-day "heat wave" (it was in the upper 80s) broke last night, with a push of cooler air from the Pacific. Should be 75 today.

    I am leaving in a few minutes for a day of lazy fishing down at my favorite lake. I have a chair, a fresh paperback book, and a thermos of coffee.

    Bill, I hope that you have a cool house, and that you had an awesome night of sleep last night.

    We too have to guard our tomatoes from deer. I have a six foot anti-Bambi fence around our garden. If I do not chain the gate, the deer will push it open.

    I have a fasting blood test in about an hour. I am feeling a lot better now, but I want to rule out anything that we can.

    Pouring rain 1/2 mile south of us sunny here
    We have great neighbors, several have gone to farm and bought corn to share with us; we are tired of putting up corn; and then I feel I need to share tomatoes and beans with them.

    Good luck with the blood work Steve. I hope it provides useful information to you and the doc.

    No A/C until tomorrow they claim. When I called after the appointment passed they told me that it was for today. Then they called right back and said they misspoke that it would be Thursday. I came pretty close to losing it with her. So the part they received on Monday will sit 3 days till they can get around to finishing their repair. But it has cooled a bit to the mid 80's and we were able to sleep a bit better last night. Not much planned for today but laundry which is always a thrill.
