Forecast is too hot to travel to BTG for dog training so am running girls at nearby hunt club and then going for a swim.

How are you feeling today, Mary? I just spoke to a fishing a buddy who went on a family cruise on one of those huge ships. Entire family got COVID. He feels his two elementary school nieces were the spreaders. His doc put him paxlovid and we won't be fishing together for a while.

Our region has been spiking lately too. Especially DC proper (likely due to influx of homeless/immigrants that are being shipped here by other cities). I digress.
Missed the VFW meeting this week. Just way too much on my brain - totally forgot.
Leave Sunday for quick trek to Ocean City for the White Marline Open (biggest fishing tourney in country) always fun! Back in time to receive DF for a week trek.
Hot today. Hoping for afternoon dip in ye' pool with cold suds.

I won't swear to it, but I think I might be the last man standing when it comes to Covid in our office. There should be a prize or something.
Cecilia's birthday dinner was great last night. I may not eat again for a couple of days though. I was a good little WW'er by ordering the tuna, but then the Baked Alaska came...
Maybe I'll get my car back today.

I'm with you. I am not certain, but think I had COVID before we knew what COVID was. But for the duration, I've never popped positive. I think you are on to something! I want my participation trophy!

- Happy Birthday Cecilia!
- So far, I haven't heard of any Covid cases from our Boys Nation trip.
- At home there is a definitely a summer bump in the number of cases but not as bad as the last two years. Numbers could be misleading as people may be taking a home test and if positive self-isolating for a week without reporting it. Either way cases definitely seem to have milder symptoms on average.
- I hope you are feeling better today Mary and Dave.

Good morning BBB friends.
Rita made me a pot of arroz caldo last night (Philippine chicken soup, with lots of garlic and ginger). I feel much better this morning - not well but improved.
We're heading out this morning to change our cell phone carrier and get new phones, a process sure to be traumatic in some way. Wish us luck.0 -

Board game night last night. Played a fun dice game similar to Karum if you remember that (wooden boards and rings you flick ).
Today we plan to organize and document all our possessions we will store at dads and add to the donate pile. We know mostly where we are staying from now until we leave the country so can get rid of things we keep for less than well stocked airbnbs like coffee filters cleaning supplies and dish soap. We have pet sits or family stays planned for most days with a few hotels on travel days.
Then this afternoon we have a meetup with two other nomadic couples who are in the area. Should be a good time. One recently took a relocation cruise to Europe so definitely want to get their take on that as that is tentatively our plan next spring.

Good morning
I'm feeling so much better already ...I think the antiviral meds work ! Horse pills and a lot of them. 4 big capsules every 12 hours for 5 days. My temp is normal and O2 levels @ 97 and headache gone. Cough is way less. Slept 10hours.They give you a O2 finger sensor with the Rx. And the Covid team checks up on me daily.
They say many folks home test too early & get a neg. and then think oh well its just "a cold" and continue to be spreaders out and about. I'm going to do my part and stay home, retest on Monday at the hospital since I need an official neg test result(not a home test) on record before my next eye infusion anyway.
Any movie suggestions are welcome!

Emmaus breakfast, then six Bd of Equalization hearings, then eye doctor to setup for left eye next Wednesday.
Continues Hot and Humid,
May try and get Toad out early in morning before it gets too hot
Glad Mary and Dave are better
Skip, one can only get so much done in a day; bringing DDad in to harass DMIL
Meeting up with other monadic couples sounds interesting and fun
Lou, one meal will not kill you, now several a week is like playing Russian roulette
