Good morning!
It feels like I didn't get much rest over the weekend but that is OK as I got a lot of projects done.
Connie is going to paint our bedroom tomorrow. I will be moving furniture tonight.
I'm not sure what today will bring at work but what happens, happens. We may end up without an operations manager after today?
Have a great day!0 -
Hot and humid continues. The evenings seem to be the worst, even after sundown. Ugh.
Steve, those are the kind of people that keep organizations like the KKK alive. I'm with you, he should be fired.
Power walked 5 miles with DW yesterday morning on a local rail trail. It felt great while I was doing it. Took an extra celebrex but needed a tramadol in the afternoon. Hips, knees, and feet flared up in the afternoon. I am fine this am. A little frustrating, but I am determined to expand my limits.

Good morning gentlemen.
I'm a big believer in the benefits of walking, Lee. Keep it up and the body will come around - and those long days in the field with your dogs will be easier, too.
DDIL asked us to check on their cat and chickens while they are off on a 4-day camping trip. Last night I found one of the chickens had flown the coop. I thought I'd be chasing the bird around like Rocky 5, but she trotted up to me eagerly so I could shove her back in with her fellows. Chickens get lonely, too, I guess.
We should get the last of the current heatwave's 90s today. 92 in the forecast. Our evenings are great, though. Rita and I were sitting on the front lawn and playing with Sassy last night and commented on how much we enjoyed the lazy feeling of a pleasant evening after a hot day. Our lower humidity allows the temperature to drop faster as the sun gets lower in the sky.0 -
Morning.
Drove to Enfield CT to get a piano tilter I saw on Craigslist. Another hobby gizmo--it safely lays an upright piano on its back so you can work on the wheels, and makes other repair jobs much easier as well.
We had a terrific T-storm yesterday afternoon, lightning and thunder a half-second apart, so loud the building shook. Brought lots of wonderful rain with a rainbow aftermath, finally after weeks of nary a drop, and temps dropped from upper 90s to low 70s. Heaven.
Didn't get out for an early hike this morning, but enjoyed breakfast on my balcony before the heat arrives again.
Lee, that's a long power-walk. Good for you.
Steve, Good luck with the personnel issues. Sounds like a key position.
Dave, I agree, there is something magical about mellow summer evenings.0 -
Good Morning
Cooler temps persist. We never got out for our walk yesterday which is a shame. I will get out this morning after prayer. Heather was up in her craft room so I spent the day going through a few boxes of old papers and sorting out the shredding from recycling and only a couple things to keep. It’s the longest I have spent shuffling paper in a long while. I will take today off from it and do some exciting housework. The back is very tight so I will need to deal with that.
Steve, I hope your owner steps up and does what’s right.
Mike I am continually amazed by you forays into piano repair with ‘another hobby gizmo’0 -
Good Afternoon,
Cool front came through highs in upper 80's this week with chance of afternoon thunder showers to raise humidity, we could use a good soaking shower
DDIL, DGS and DGD have COVID
School is already trying to get me to sub, I'm trying to stay well, left eye cataract Wednesday
