Good morning!
Our garden has been mostly a disappointment this year. We have harvested a few tomatoes, most cherry, and that is it. The weather this summer has been too hot and too dry. And for those of you that see my FB posts, we also have a stoopid woodchuck that I have to figure out how to get rid of.
My weight has held steady for two weeks now. Time to tweak the diet some more. I know that I need to add more water. I am still eating too many refined carbs.
We received .72 inches of rain overnight. We needed badly.
The good thing about no rain is that I only have to mow every other week. I can also see where the trees are stressed and the leaves are starting to turn and/or drop on many trees. It is not even September yet!
A lot of domestic chores to get done today.
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Church, then a meeting of church elders for a couple hours after that.
DS, DDIL and the grandkids came over for supper last night, then we walked 1/2 mile to the neighborhood park. I got Sassy to climb the ladder and run down the slide. She loved it and did it over and over again. Fun pup.0 -
Good Morning
That must of been a sight with Sassy at the park.
We skipped the movie since Heather decided she didn't want to see it. So we grabbed some lunch and headed to the formerly big reservoir for a picnic. The line to get into the park was about 40 minutes long since they only have one person at the entry gate. They have swimming, boating, fishing, and hiking here and it is a popular place for large scale gatherings so shade tables were gone. But it has cooled off here to the low 80s and there was a fairly steady breeze and it was beautiful by the water. But it still is shocking to see the impact of these drought years. Not much planned today but putzing around here.0 -
