    Good morning!

Back to work again this morning. I'm glad that I'm feeling better. Still some weakness, but I'll be able to work all day today. I went for a short walk last night with Connie and Frankie. We walked about 1/2 mile. I can feel it today. I have some rebuilding work to do.

We have Autumn like 47 degrees this morning. Back to the upper 80s and low 90s for the rest of the week. Autumn will eventually get here.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin' gents.

We started yesterday's amateur trial with a 9/11 memorial. Still a very emotional memory for me.
Yep, was a trialing weekend that involved driving to Maine early Saturday morning, winning third place with Lucy in the puppy stake, early exit from amateur trial on Sunday and then drive home from Maine Sunday afternoon.
Proud of Lucy and Babe. Babe was having a good trial until we had a bit of bad luck and passed a bird in the second.
A 6:30am sleep-in is unheard of in my house. DW nor the dogs would not allow it!
Glad you had a nice time on the cruise, Dave. Sorry Rita caught a cold. See any whales?
Heard a funny line on TV last night..."I'm so happy I'm singing hallelujah out of my b*tt crack." Bill's description of people dancing in the streets because of the break in the oppressive heat made me think of that line.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

Saw no whales on the cruise, Lee. Didn't go on any of the expensive excursions with that aim, either.

Early appointment at the VA for a hearing test. Haven't been tested in two years and they said I was borderline for hearing aids then.

Skipped a few days checking in here...

DS is back to work after tomorrow. Talked to him Fri. night and said his symptoms were all gone and his energy back. Either it was a relatively mild case, a mild variant, or the monoclonal antibodies did their job. Relieved he's okay, and thankful for the transplant clinic that's only a few miles from him. Other family seem okay too.

Ordered a roof top bike rack for me RAV4, so I can take my bike out without rearranging all the gear in my cargo area. My old trailer hitch bike rack was great, but can't get into cargo area with that, so passing along to DD's family. MIght need a step stool to get bike on and off the roof. Thule--they come with locks, but saw a review where 4 bikes were locked to the rack and the rack to the car, but thieves sawed off the roof...

DS is back playing for Holy Cross, his 5th season, and they actually beat Buffalo the other night with a 4-seconds-left Hail Mary pass. Cliffhanger game all night. HC has high hopes of a stellar year.

Steve, hope things go smoothly today at work and your health bounces back quick.

    Lee, congrats to Lucy.

Dave, hope your ears pass the tests.

    Have a great day.

    Good Afternoon,
Glad you are better Steve as well as Mike's DS
    Congrats to Lee and girls
Humidity dropping as well as temps not expected to hit 90 this week
Though I do not wear my hearing aids all the time, gives an excuse for not following DW's instructions, they greatly help when around grandkids and soft-spoken folks.

    Good Morning

Congratulations to Lucy & Babe on their trials!

I am glad to hear some folks are recovering and getting back to 'normal'. We enjoyed our day walking by the North Bay and around Martinez. Had a great lunch and headed home. Managed to get out for a morning walk with Heather today as well. We are still delighting in the cooler temps. I finally got to remove my temporary Heart Monitor after two weeks so I can send it back. I can take a normal shower now. This is the last day driving the car as the current registration is expiring. I am renewing it but can't drive it except to a scrap yard. I am waiting for the state to approve me for the program to get paid to scrap it. I might take it for one last drive and see if I can get to 247,500 miles. No complaints about this car. It served me well for almost 20 years.
