Cool morning here—only 60° and staying in the 60’s next few days. We had amazing downpours last night, one after another. Can’t imagine 100° in September.
Finding piano lessons enjoyable but sometimes if I practice a song too long it becomes stuck in my head; 3am I’m humming fly me to the moon etc.
Bible study this morning then testing my new rooftop bike rack, and hopefully going for a ride on the rail trail this afternoon.

Buddy who mountain bikes alot has a roof rack for his bike on his lil' BMW. Cuts gas mileage in half due to drag when he has a bike on top.

Good morning gentlemen.
Vet said Sassy did well under anesthesia, but there was some bleeding, so they had to make a little longer incision than they usually do. We should be able to bring her home today. Seems very strange in the house without her.
Rita still suffering lingering effects of Covid. She tests negative but can't shake the periodic coughing.
It's 47 at the house, right now, with a forecast of 81 for this afternoon. That's pretty warm for late September, here. There was some rain in the mountains a few days ago, however, so the fires have stabilized and aren't growing much.0 -

I predict Sassy will be one spoiled dog for the next day or two,
Heather is quite ill. No covid. We are waiting to get a Dr appointment which she agreed to late yesterday. Fever, abdominal pain, and nausea. On the wrong side for appendicitis or gall stones but only a fool totally trusts Dr. Google. She has been down since Saturday Morning. I managed to get the new ice maker installed yesterday and figure out how to change the filter. The new ones I am using have collets which I forgot about. Yesterday was a Google & Youtube day while I kept an eye on my wife.0 -

Yesterday we made it to 99 degrees. Heat index was well over 105. Expecting 101 today in real temp. Tomorrow a cold front starts to come through with expected highs about 85. Thursday the high is supposed to be around 75 which is average for the first day of Autumn. I am SO over this heat! We normally have 12 days a year over 95 and we are approaching 20 now. I'm thinking I heard them say that we had over 40 days above 90 this summer. I really am hoping that today is the last of that stuff this year.
I have four interviews today in an effort to replace Serena. I am absolutely swamped right now. But, it is necessary to have the interviews. I missed two tax deadlines this month as I am just confusing what day it is. I think that I'm also still dealing with some COVID fog.

Likely mid 80s here today with a cool start. I seem to have come down with a cold. Nose running to beat the band, headache, mildish cough. Tested negative for covid at home last night and doing a drive through test today but it seems unlikely to me to be covid.
Slept in for sure the best I could.
