Good morning!
I'm not sure how I missed posting a couple of days. It has been busy, but no so much that I can't talk with you guys.
I am still fighting long haul COVID symptoms, but slowly starting to get better. I am still coughing, but not as much. I still tire easily. Now I am in that period of I'm tired of being tired. I was able to sleep all night with my CPAP mask last night, so that's something. I have a resmed CPAP, and I have been using a soclean since I got my CPAP. I am doing more research that says to stop using that. The soclean could also be contributing to my sinus issues.
Work has just been stupid busy. I'm hoping that it will slow down a little.
Sounds like all of you are doing well. Dave, I hope that you can find a doctor that will help you.
Have a great day!0 -
Mornin' gents.
You know Steve, a lesser man would claim disability and stay home. DW and I chuckle at the lack of work ethic in the post boomer generations. DW has a saying, "If you aren't bleeding from the eyes, then you can go to work."
So glad I don't need a CPAP.
New doctor joining the practice next week. We are very excited.
Dave, see if your vet can refer you to an ophthalmologist. Most of my clients say they would rather see a vet for their own medical care.
Be OP ;-)

Happy Humping,
Yoga class this morning then finishing tile in shower for neighborhood missions, hope to get all tile set and will grout Thursday. They have extended this project way too long. Need to find time to pick okra today also, ask neighbor to pick Saturday; reckon they got enough and did not finish picking. Know if let pods stay on stakes will stop producing.
Steve hope energy comes back soon
Prayers lifted up for those dealing with pain0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Glad you're making some progress, Steve, even if slowly.
While I am seeking a VA ophthalmologist, I will keep looking for one in the civilian world. VA appointments seem hard to get. While my eyes have been stable for years and I don't anticipate problems, they are my eyes. Going blind is one of my great fears.
We are getting some rain, this morning for the first time in weeks. It will be short lived. By Saturday we are supposed to be back in the 80s. Seeing forecasts that warm in October is really strange.

Some light sprinkles started in PDX just now. Better than zippo.
Dave. Hope your potential glaucoma is at bay. When in eye research I did have a lot of ophthalmologist friends at the VA in Portland.
I remember seeing a grouse by the side of the road in my poor starving graduate student days. I tried to hit it with some rocks as I had no shotgun etc with me at the time driving around. Looked to be good eating to me.
Good to see ya
Steve and hope your long haul covid keeps getting better.
LOL at Lee's wifes comment "If you aren't bleeding from the eyes, then you can go to work." I do remember doing a stat biopsy (I think frozen sections) in the ophthalmology dept before seeing my dentist with a roaring abscessed infection above my upper jaw which was starting to explode up into my skull and potentially brain. My dentist sent me immediately to the e.r. for IV antibiotics after I left work. He said "I didn't know it was so bad"".0 -
Good morning.
Paddled Ware River yesterday. Gorgeous, sunny day and leaves starting to turn yellow, orange and red.
Lee, that sounds like quite a bushwacking adventure. Hope the grouse tasted decent.
Still packing for Maine lakes camping. Keeping one eye on the forecast--temps look on the low side and who knows where Ian will end up after Florida blows away. Sam, I hope you guys are spared the brunt. 155 mph winds, gusts 190... Sounds so awful.
Have a good rest of the day.0 -
Good Morning
Things certainly have changed. Calling in sick to work was a big decision back in the day, you had to be in bad shape. Generally, you slogged on thru the day and then went home to die and then got up the next day and did it again.
I have done something to my right hand, the pain is remarkable. Escalated from Tylenol ER to Norco in a couple of hours. Not really helping. I guess I need to call the Doc.0
