    Good morning!

It is beginning to feel more like Autumn here.

I got several little projects taken care of yesterday. It has been so very dry here. Our soil here has a lot of clay in it. The soil is pulling away from the foundation, and we can hear some popping in the walls. Yesterday, I bought a soaker hose, and ran it for several hours around the foundation of the house. I will do that a few times a week as long as it is above freezing, and as long as it does not rain. We are in the severe drought map.

I actually got over 10,000 steps yesterday. I don't know that I've done that since I had COVID for the second time.

It will be a busy week at work again. When isn't it?

    Have a great day!

    Up an' at 'em.

DGS's 5 y.o. football team lost bigtime, but the game sure was fun to watch. Later I caught the Patriot's and KC games.

DSIL suggested, rather than take the interior panels off and running the trailer light power line up thru the firewall to the car battery, just put another 12 volt battery in the cargo area when I have a trailer in tow, which won't be very often. A completely different idea I wouldn't have considered.

Errands and chores today. Need to be more conscientious of not eating between meals....

    Good morning gentlemen.

It was 80 degrees again, yesterday - nine degrees above the previous record high for the date. We still have no rain for the month of October, usually one of the wettest months. Today will "only" be 70 and sunny. Change is in sight, though. By Friday it should drop into the 50s for highs, with cool rain.

I watched no football at all, yesterday, no sports. Rita had other plans and I supported them.

We will get our 5th Covid shots this morning, then shop for a new vacuum cleaner. The old Hoover is dying, a victim of the mountain of hair Sassy produces.

I have been busy and AWOL for a few days. Getting caught up.
It was 84 deg where I live near PDX Sat and close to 86deg Sunday both records by a long shot. I too loved looking at Bill's baked goods. YUYM!
Dave it takes time for the brain to come around and recognize al that hearing again. With time it feels pretty "normal" for me with the hearing aids and more deadenb without them. Crackling leaves underfoot are still magnified a lot. True!
I have had both thge current flu and Covid shots.
Today will be much cooler at about 72deg. Still above fall average temp but not hot.

    Cheers.

    Good Morning

A crazy morning so far. We were up early to shower before I had morning prayer so we could run out to get flu shots before Heather went to work. Then they called to ask her to come in 2+ hours early so we switched to getting her out the door and the shots would wait. Then they called back to say never mind come at your normal time so now I am rushing to get out the door with her for the shot. Fun morning
