Good morning!
Thank you all for the prayer and for the kind words.
Back to work this morning. I have a ton on my plate for this week.
We received over 1.25 inches of much needed rain. Just a slow, gentle rain. It was awesome!
Have a great day!0 -
Mornin' gents.
Steve, you are always in our thoughts.
Been raining here since yesterday AM. Supposed to abate this morning but no sign of let up yet.
Mike, I remember that childhood incident periodically, but somehow it was minimally traumatic.
All this talk of hearing aids, and the AARP mag recently had an article about OTC hearing aids being affordable and effective. I may have to investigate more.
We may have to rename this board, "Old Man Stuff" or "Dudes Getting Old and Falling Apart".
Be OP ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
I'd rather face the challenges of aging than the alternative, Lee.
I think the difference between OTC hearing aids and prescription ones might be the nature of how they assist. OTC just make everything louder, while those like I have target the frequencies of my hearing loss. I know the doctor spent a lot of time looking at graphs on a computer screen and making adjustments. By the way, I hate wearing the things. They don't want to stay in my ears, and I keep pushing them back in. One even fell off while I was on a walk. I need to go back to the VA and see what they can do about that. On the other hand, they beat the heck out of ear buds when listening to music.
More than an inch of rain would not be called slow and gentle around here. Our rain gods run a marathon, not a sprint.0 -
Dave, this is the article I read. It implies that the new FDA designation of OTC would set the available hearing aids apart from just hearing amplifiers. I really just need something for the ambient noise.0

Good Morning
Lee, I agree with your comment on more realistic names for this board. I like "Aging Ugly"
Steve, 1.25 inches of rain. Rarely happens here anymore.
Off to the Pain Doctor's office this morning for my quarterly check-in. Well timed after the last 2+ weeks. Yesterday was not a good one and I went back on Tramadol. I hope to walk out the door with a scheduled procedure and new scrip for Tramadol to get me to the procedure. After my appt, I have to boogie back down here to the library for a tutoring session in the literacy program. This will be our first working session, I hope I can clear the fog from lack of sleep for the 90min session.0 -
Hello, been way too busy for a retired soul.0
