    Good morning!

It seems that many of us are suffering with hip issues right now. Mine has been flaring up again too. Dave, this might not be the case with you, but my chiropractor tells me that when I have pains on my right side, although it could be the arthritis, it often is muscle soreness associated from the right side trying to compensate for weakness in the left side. It is my left hip that has the worse arthritis.

Bill, I am so sorry about all of the pain that you are going through. You will be held in earnest prayer.

Yesterday, Connie and I purchased an end of season crabapple tree. It was in a 15 gallon container. I got to dig a hole in our hard dry soil for the tree. With getting the tree, digging the hole, planting the tree, watering the tree, my hip (and whole body) was screaming last night. Today, I need to put a fence around the tree so that the deer don't kill it before it can get started.

Putting up a fence, and household chores are my day today. I didn't get any chores done yesterday, as we spent from 10:30 to 4:30 with the tree yesterday.

    Have a great day!

We have several gents here with hip issues. I know that I have somewhat limited ability to turn my leg out to the side. For those who do yoga envision that with my bent leg on my calf below the knee I can't turn that bent knee out very far to the side at all. If I try , it just hurts too much. I just need to know my limitations and not try to force things too much.
Mild start to today at 52degrees. Not much rain showers until much later. Halloween promises to be a wet day indeed.

On the other hand (teehee) to my sailor buddies I mioght say "loose hips sink ships" .

    Good morning gentlemen.

Had a nice time down in Portland visiting with my mom at her 99th birthday party (though her actual birthday is next week).

My hips feel pretty good, today, thanks to a full day sitting, yesterday - either in the car or at the restaurant. More evidence that my issues are tendonitis, rather than neurological. A little rest can do a lot of good.

Rainy day, today. Maybe I'll watch some football after church.

    Good Morning

Dave, I am glad your hip has responded to some rest.

I too have found some improvement. Yesterday I transitioned off painkillers & muscle relaxors and just went with Tylenol. I slept like a rock, it helps when you are exhausted and pain levels are down. I rolled over to take off my glasses and grab the Cpap mask. Somewhere in between, I feel asleep. I woke this morning to fog which was a bit of a surprise given how dry it has been, but it crept in over the ridge from the bay and made me happy. We will run some errands today and get things ready for Halloween. I have to shift some planters to the backyard to create more room at the front door. Then I will clean them up photograph them and post them to give away since we won't be taking such things with us next year and I don't maintain them like I used to do the bending and kneeling.

    Good Afternoon,
Back from motorcycle rally, glad I went but could not be out in sun at all. Thought face and head was getting better but woke up to more bleeding spots on pillow.
I have learned through years most folks do not fully work their ball and socket joints, this includes shoulders. For hips have you tried the "dangling frog leg" I use mainly for helping stabilizing knees; from a child's pose extend leg straight out periductular to body ankle laying on floor pad of foot facing wall, hips lowered to opposite leg heel. May take a few months to fully get body down, but stabilizing knees tendons and ligaments should help relieve nerve pains. From 3 legged downward dog fully rotate straight leg from behind opposite leg to front hand then rotate opposite direction.

Late check-in. Nice long hike in 60-65° sunshine today, followed by evening church service. Left hip is sore now.

Sam your instructions sound like a pretzel knot to me. I’d have to call 911 to get back up.
