Good morning!
Yesterday, we received a record amount of rain, 2.43 inches, for that date. We have received another .4 inches this morning. We have really needed the rain. There were even some snowflakes nearby.
Bill, we will try to send some rain your way. That once in 1200 years drought that you guys are having is horrible.
This afternoon, Connie and I will attend the annual MADD candlelight vigil. This year it is in Lawrence. Lawrence is about 45 minutes from our house. This is a somber event, but a necessary event in remembering our children, and others who have lost their lives to impaired drivers.
I am so sad that with all of this rain that I won't be able to pick up leaves this weekend. Now I'm going to have to wait another week. Darn the luck!
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Rushing to get out the door. I finally figured out how to use the calendar and reminders on my phone, and it dinged at me to remind me there is a men's breakfast at church this morning. So, I rushed to shave and get dressed. Now I have five minutes before I need to leave.
Our major rain/windstorm has passed. We got in excess of four inches, here at the house. That's a lot of rain for 24 hours. Should be mostly dry, today. I hope to spend a few hours watching college football, if SWMBO allows.0 -
Good Morning
Welcome to the joys of phone alarms Dave
Though the forecasted rain went north and our chances of rain have diminished yesterday was a good day. I will need to go out and water. I am thankful that I am off all pain and Tylenol ER as of yesterday as pain and stiffness have eased to a manageable level. I had a great tutoring session with my new student. She is rather advanced but lacks the confidence to use her English except when she has to. We picked Trader Joe's as a safe place to try brief dialogues with the checkers since she finds them very positive and friendly. Heather is still ill so I will be laying low with her doing little tasks around the house.0 -
