    Thank you guys for the kind words of advice. We'll get there at work.

    Bill, I tried Noom for a while with my weight loss. It might work for you. I have been in the same struggle with weight and I am not sure what my next plan will be. I've been thinking about finding an online nutritionist. That is something that I have not tried yet.

    It is 66 degrees out as I type this. It is supposed to go up to 70, and then fall like a rock. We are going to get rain today. When I leave work tonight, the temp is supposed to be in the 30s. Ugh! Tomorrow is not expected to get above 35 degrees. We get some pretty wild swings in weather here. Late summer today, winter tomorrow.

    Good morning gentlemen.

    Most plans work Steve - if you work the plan. No one - and I include myself in that - loses weight taking days off and shortcuts. Most of us in this little group have been losing the same 10 or 20 pounds for years because we don't embrace that truth.

    I have an early morning glaucoma doctor appointment and I overslept. Got to run.

    I agree Dave. I am struggling to work a plan that is "abnormal" to family eating and eating out. In this year where health and pain have been more front and center, I have found I often lack continual emotional energy to push through this alternate eating when I am hurting. I think what has generally proven to work best is a plan that offers healthy eating and can mesh into one's family life with reasonable accommodations. Planning one dinner is easier.

    Rough night. I baked a different type of carrot cake and it ran into the night to cool. Pain levels were already increasing and it didn't help. I ended up getting 3-4 hours in the recliner. But there is hopefully an amazing cake heading off to the preschool. Besides the use of fresh ginger, roasted pecans, and lots of spice, this one has a browned butter cream cheese frosting. I tasted that, it was worth the extra work. The carotid scan went well, but the results will tell. Pretty amazing to lay there and see the artery on the screen where the Med Tech is working. Just an MRI to go and then an actual Dr visit. Heather is heading off for a weekend with her sister so Pat and I will be in bachelor mode.
