My folks, who grew up during WW-I, called this Armistice Day, the day the war had finally ended. I'm glad we didn't just make this another Monday holiday; helps remind us of it's meaning. A thankful cheer to all those who have served our land and its people.

I have found over the years that a major obstacle to eating right is family and friends, so to speak. It's one thing to stick to a plan when you do the shopping and cooking and planning, but a huge distraction when other folks are enjoying the food you can't eat, all around you, whether at daily family meals or at social events. Somehow I just can't say no.

We're supposed to get rain and wind from the tropical storm later today and tomorrow, for now it's sunny and mild. So I'll go for a hike... hmmm, it's pheasant hunting season. Maybe a walk in the park? Next week's forecast is for snow...

    Have a good day everyone.

    Mornin' gents.

Thank you veterans. I got a 20% discount at the Dollar Store yesterday for being a veteran.
Yes it is pheasant hunting season. Smart just staying out of areas stocked with birds. Heck, we train with birds every week almost year round, so the season just means now you have to deal with hunters that may or may not be safe with guns. I think gun safety should be revisited every 5 years. I have a friend who was guiding with his dog up in Vermont and a client shot and killed his dog in the field. This happened years ago, he still weeps about it, but he is thankful it was not another person that was hurt. One of the good things about Military service is that you get a snootfull of gun safety.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

No Veteran's Day plans, here, other than to pack for the holiday bazaar, where I am selling my turnings tomorrow. Rita will help me display and sell. I guarantee she will sell more than I do.

My right hip and glut are really giving me a problem. I limp everywhere and walking Sassy has become a trial. Guess I need to call for a doctor's appointment. In years past, my left hip has been an issue.

    Good Morning

For those of you who have served, and fathered those that do....Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

I slept a bit better last night and the aches and pains have calmed down today for which I am thankful. I have reset my MFP away from the extremes of KETO and set the daily goals to a more doable but healthy mix of Carb/Fat/Protein etc. Compared to MFP defaults it is much lower carbs, lower fats and higher proteins which brought me in at 1330 calories. So I will start there. I will try and be better at my mindfulness meditation for other than pain, and do a bit of journaling to work through the intersection of healthy eating and bad pain streaks where I often fail. My knee is still a bit bothersome but I am going to try a 20-30 minute walk and see how that goes. I stopped walking when the knee got bad again and was encouraged to wait a bit before restarting after the injection which I have.

Dave, good luck at the bazar. I know your work will be appreciated except when it comes to paying an adequate price. But that is why you have Rita as your closer.

Hand to heart center to all who have served. Thanks is not enough.
Oh man Dave has a hitch in his get-along. Sooo sorry. If it's not one hip it is the other. My DW is going to a holiday bazaar event today. Not me.
Good luck with your injection Bill. I found with my synvisc it took a little time to settle in.
