    Good morning!

I can't believe that it is only one week until Thanksgiving.

I did get August closed yesterday, so now I work on September. We have health insurance renewal meetings all morning, so I might not make much progress. Switching this year from UHC to BCBS due to costs. There is grumbling among the employees but it is a $100K savings between the two plans.

I hate to admit it but I have an emergency can of Starbuck's instant coffee in my desk drawer. Someone gave it to me as a gift. I have used it a time or two. Really, it is not that bad in a pinch.

If not Yoga, which I have a hard time maintaining an interest in, there are a number of simple stretches that can really help with things like hip pain. Many of these stretches you can find via a search on Google.

It has been so cold here for the last week or so. It is supposed to be warming up a little over the weekend. We have been 20 degrees below normal for at least a week.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin'

Very thick frost this morning, 26º, but the clouds and rain are gone. Tomorrow's canoe adventure promises sunshine all day, although 40º is not beach weather, so we better not fall in.

I discovered Starbucks instant when my rich and sophisticated DDIL came camping a few years ago with a can of it. It's really not bad at all (although expensive) so I started taking it camping when I go.

Piano class this morning, and then to DD's #1 to troubleshoot a thermostat in one of the bedrooms. DD #3 is flying home soon from Bali where she's been ever since before COVID, and she will sleep there for a few weeks.

I culled 4 bags of unused clothing and outdoor gear yesterday. Some of it still has to find a recycling destination, and there's lots more to tackle, but it feels good to have started. It's stressful living with clutter, and stress can be a trigger for eating, so this may even be a weight loss help. At least I can hope.

    Have a great day...

    Good Morning

God loves instant coffee drinkers too, more to His Glory.

I seem to be getting back to normal, though I still feeling the effects of 6 days of my sleeping problems. I ran out of gas around 3 yesterday but lack the gift of napping intentionally. Today I plan the removal of the microwave hood that died 4 years ago and the installation of the new range hood. I want it in for Thanksgiving. Because of my back it is a 2 person job and we will do it in stages over a day to coordinate with my son's schedule and allow me to ice my back and do some cleaning. The plan is to get in a walk and some stretching today.

    Good morning gentlemen.

My PCM told me to use heat and sent me for x-rays of my hip and lower back. She indicated that she would probably send me for physical therapy after seeing the pictures. I’ll hear from her in a day or two. About what I expected.

The little things they added to my hearing aids help hold them in, but they get uncomfortable after a day of wearing them. I had to remove them in the evening. Was that your experience, Mike?

    Mornin' gents.

I am in favor of instant coffee when necessary. S'Bux instant is better than Folger's. You can make as strong a cup as you lile. Doesn't approach the dark roast we like to brew in our Chemex, but there are times when this snob will acquiesce.
I am being very lazy this morning. Other than feed the dogs, call in a script for a friend's dog with diarrhea, drink well brewed coffee, and make myself some oatmeal, I ain't done much. I will venture out to play with the dogs and run some errands and then do some yoga this afternoon. I am trying to get in 3 sessions a week.
Dave you seem to be really struggling with those hearing aids. Sorry about that. Always good to get some x-rays to rule out the things you can see, like issues with the bones or joints.

    Be OP ;-)

Thick frost yesterday and light frost today with perfect fall weather albeit a bit windy.
My DW and I do zoom yoga w some local folks we know five sessions per week. The other two days we do recorded sessions. Don't often miss. I don't think I could do without it. I must move.

Dave I had the same experience with my hearing aids and the safety keeper little add ons. My left ear was very uncomfortable and it was removed right away. Eventually I removed the other one which was causing some issues too. So not Mike here but the same experience that you are having.
I too find the x-rays to be fairly useless unless you truly have bone on bone issues.

    Good Evening,
Started day with Emmaus group, then doctor appointment
Me and DW went to new Costco, looked like any other warehouse we have been members of, but they did have gas for $2.65 a gallon. Same problems as others we spent way too much on stuff we could have done without.
Pray those sick as well as those with aches and pains are better soon.
It took me several months to get used to hearing aids and at times I still get aggravated with them.
Weather around here is aggravating Arthur, seems every joint muscle and bone hurts
20's night and 40's for highs
