    Good morning!

I feel like carp, but I'm going to try to go into work today. I am still so far behind. I might not make it all day. Tomorrow is the critical day as I have payroll. I will try to prep it today in case I feel worse tomorrow. Nobody is wearing a mask these days but I think that I probably should to help not spread this junk. I wish that mask wearing was not so politicized.

Not much else to report. Yesterday was mostly about just resting. I will be at work today, but I won't be racing through stuff. Slow and steady will win this race. I'm extremely glad that this is a short week. We get Friday off, and perhaps we'll even get to leave a little early on Wednesday. The boss hasn't said yet.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin' gents.

Ugh, feel better Steve. Sounds like you might be pretty close to bleeding from the eyes. I agree with the mask wearing being an issue now. But I am a firm believer in doing what you feel is right. Better you wear a mask and get payroll done than to stay home, I'd say.
So yesterday's inter club field trial went very well. Nice area with good cover of different kinds. Lot of talented dogs, but there was a huge variance in the level of handler proficiency and training of the dogs. Cold was not much of an issue since I was constantly moving and being well insulated. I was worried about fatigue, but doubled up on celebrex and took a tramadol. Got 18K for the day. I was a bit pooped but not wiped out. This morning I am not feeling like I over did it. I have decided that it works better to prevent the inflammation and associated soreness than to wait to medicate when the inflammation and pain have already occurred.

    Be OP ;-)

    G' Morning...

Getting my car inspected, 2 months past-due, before I drive to airport today. Picking up a set of piano keys on the way--a Craigslist freebie--which I hope to turn into key racks for family Christmas presents. Other option may be to remove the white keytops and put them on EX's WW-II piano whose keys are almost entirely chipped, and are stained and cracked. DD lands around 1:00, am excited about seeing her after so long an absence...

Steve, hope you're not too sick for the holiday. Hang in there. If you have RSV (going around, respiratory symptoms) I read Elderberry extract is effective. And vit. C and D naturally. Of course check with doctor if really sick.

If not too pooped after all running around will get to a men's evening with our church, otherwise may just visit awhile with DD while she unpacks. She's be exhausted I am sure.

Lee, trails sounds like a fun day. Any day outdoors is fun for me (if it's not pouring rain).

Better run... have a great day.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Wearing a mask has no political implications at all around here. I wish I'd thought to wear one back in the days when I was working. My last six years of work I edited the weekly newspaper for Fort Lewis. The paper had to come out, so I had to work no matter how I felt. Lord knows how many others I infected when I dragged my hacking and coughing body in to the office.

Last dry day, today, before rain comes back with a vengeance tomorrow. I don't know what Rita has on her mind for the day. I hope to watch the US v. Wales World Cup match.

Amen Steve amen. when did doing the right thing to protect ourselves and our families become "political". I wear a mask when needed and don't fuss. I got a horrible cold from my dermatologist's office when it was necessary to unmask a bit. I too hope to watch USA and Wales today in the World Cup Soccer match.
I was able to mulch mow in a bunch of leaves into some grass yesterday. Fun indeed doing that.

I had some mild rebuke for not spreading cold and flu in our laboratory a couple of times in 20+ years.
I did drag myself into the lab one time when I had pneumonia. I didn't know I had pneumonia and "it wasn't that bad". My boss made me stay home until it was safe for others.

    Good Morning

I am sorry you are struggling so Steve. I will pray you are able to get the essentials done and get some rest and heal.

Yesterdays project of removing the microwave and installing the new hood went awry. Instructions were carp. I also found that one side of the under-cabinet had a spacer board and the other did not. So after resolving that, the vent pipe and finding the hardware we just couldn't handle the small space the awkward hood, with a bad back, poor lighting and the recessed mounting slots. My son tells me I dropped a couple of FBombs which is why he gave me a hug at one point. The three of us talked it out last nightnand came up with a different approach for today. If we still can't do this seemingly simple job, we will put the hood move the stove and stuff back and get on with Thanksgiving prep and hire someone next week. Surprisingly, as sore as I was last night, I just popped a couple Tylenol ER, and am stiff but not too bad. I am not very good at this stuff.
