I put up a microwave by myself once. After ridiculous struggling I tried two piles of books stacked high enough to hold it in place while I fiddled with screws etc. That worked.
Found my way to the house with free, old piano keys in Roslindale, and from there winding through Boston backstreets to the airport. If I didn't have a GPS "back seat driver" on my phone I'd still be riding around and around. DD looked great although probably very overtired from 30 hours of travelling. We stopped on the way home for a pair of winter boots and went for a walk with her mom after we got to the house. Emotional reunion all around.
The piano keys I got were real ivory, in perfect condition, from early 1900's I think. And ebony. It would probably be impossible to reuse them except on a piano of the same make and model, and removing the ivory to reglue it on another piano is way above my paygrade. So I'm going to make coat racks and key racks, though it seems a shame to cut them up.

Mike, I hope that you are having an awesome reunion with your daughter!
I am still feeling like carp, but I survived at work yesterday. I didn't get far with the payroll and it must be finished today. I will be OK today but I don't have to like it. Maybe if I am real grumpy people will leave me alone.
My arthritis is really flaring up today.
Bill, stove vent hoods are not real easy. They are awkward. I installed ours, but I was a lot younger at the time. It has been hard for me, but I have been learning when I can do a project myself vs. when I need to call "the guy".
Although I pray for all of you guys, I am especially keeping Bill and Sam in prayer today.

Good morning gentlemen.
As I suspected, DW had other plans, yesterday, so I didn't watch any of the World Cup match. We need to shop for a new pair of hiking boots/shoes for het, today. There is a members' sale at REI and we have annual rewards there we need to use before the end of the year.
Hope the sick get better and the hurting find relief.

Bill, don't feel defeated cause of microwave over stove; at one time when I was building on side I installed many, last year me and friend fought several hours before we finally got his installed. Do not believe I could do today.
Steve, stress can cause many illnesses; recommend call in temporary help to get totally caught up; for your health and companies health.

Stove hood did not go in. We came close once but finally raised the white flag before frustration totally took over. Kitchen is reclaimed and functioning again. I will call someone, as soon as I find someone for next week. So today will be a busy day getting the Turkey brined a day late and cleaning up the best I can. I will need to show my back some love as well.0
