    Happy Thanksgiving!

Frankie was sure that I was not going to sleep in too late this morning. So, she decided to wake me at 5:30 to take her outside. I also am sitting here now with a cat on my lap.

It is going to be a small celebration today with just the three of us. I will start the turkey breast soon. Connie and I will split most of the cooking. I do the meat and potatoes, she does the casserole, pie and salad. Collin gets to do the dishes. Ha!

I hope that all of you enjoy the day with your families. Have a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!

    Good morning gentlemen.

A happy and blessed Thanksgiving Day to you all. This group is certainly one of the things for which I am thankful.

Our DDIL always requests that I make corn pudding at every holiday gathering, and I agreed to make stuffing/dressing, too. Attempting to make the dressing vegan - for DDIL's mom - so I am playing around with the unwritten recipe I have followed in the past. I am using vegetable stock and throwing in some dried cranberries.

Not gathering until late afternoon, so I'll watch some football - with a group of teams I care nothing about.

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING,
Turkey is on smoker and ham is in oven; both should come off about 12:30
Joanne has a carrot cake in oven.
    Yesterday our baby turned 40
Bill, hope pain has subsided and all others here are well
Lee, hope you are off and do not get called in
Thankful for each and every one of you

Have a meaningful Thanksgiving everyone, Family and friends top the list followed by all the folks near and far that provided us with food, clothing and so much more. Yes I count all of you as my friends too.

Cool dry Thanksgiving day in PDX today w maybe a little above temps for a high. NICE.

Small celebration with a turkey breast with just my wife, Barb and I plus our daughter and son-in-law at their place nearby.

Oh and for fun I am recording the National Dog Show from Philadelphia. Gosh back in the day when I showed our Collies and Borzois for fun in the SF Bay area there were maybe 110 or so breeds to learn the names of. NOW it is crazy with all the new ones. This year as an example they have added the Bracco Italiano, an Italian pointer dog.

Will probably watch a bit of Macy's Day Parade and football. I will of course get in a bike ride too.

    Good Morning

Turkey just went in, might be a bit early. I am trying to nail a 2:00 meal target. It is just the 4 of us today but I went big on the turkey so I could make a few things with left overs, like a turkey pie. I baked the Honey Caramel Pumpkin Pie yesterday. Not much else planned except kitchen time. I don't let people into my kitchen when I am cooking. Its wrong and unhealthy.
