How many 5% Challenges have you done? I started the Challenges in 2010. This is 54 for me.
What do you like to do for fun? Dance to live bands, listen to audiobooks, Happy Color app, Octordle, play cards especially canasta and 10 card crib, RV travel, try new recipes, meet new people, read online news, weekly hikes, explore new places, have dinner parties, watch 90 Day Fiance, plan trips, travel.
What major city do you live in or near? State? Vancouver Canada
What are you health/fitness goals for this season? I had Covid and need to regain my strength and endurance. Get back hiking. I lost 90 pounds and regained 30. I want that 30 pounds gone!
How would your pet or friend describe you? Friend - Adventurer Lynn, Dog 'where are we going?'
2 fun things about you? I am always looking for my reading glasses and phone. Often the glasses are on top of my head and the phone is in my back pocket. Why don't I look there first? Since I had Covid I don't remember names very well, so it can be awkward and funny.

I am taking beginner swimming lessons and planning a winter travels.

How many 5% Challenges have you done? MANY so many, since the start of 2011 Winter 5% Challenge, and not missed a 1. Became a leader that very next challenge 2011 Spring 5% Challenge. WOOHOO LOVING IT STILL!!
What do you like to do for fun? Cribbage (2 time champion), walk though it's not as easy it's still fun, hang around with my friends, and or family.

What are you health/fitness goals for this season? To get stronger with strengthening exercises!! I'd been seeing a PT person for this reason. It's WORKING TOO! To do 30 or more mins of exercise a day.
How would your pet or friend describe you? Izzy "CALL THE ASPCA!! I'M SEVERELY ABUSED!!" LOLOL she thinks I should NEVER Leave the house so it's abusive. Doesn't she look so "mistreated" Well she SAYS she is "MIS TREATED" cause she'd like treats ALL DAY long. LOL
LOL Friends, "A lot of fun to be around, but can be serious too. Keeps a secret well." WELL YEAH I forget what they say!! LOL
2 fun things about you? A strange sense of humor just cause hey it's fun seeing someone burst out a half later saying "OH I GET IT NOW!" A LOT Of our teammates to do too!! So it's just that much more fun!! I LOVE to read different types of books.

I am a Great Grandmother of 1 next year it'll be 2 if all stays well. I have MANY health issues, but they do NOT DEFINE me, they are a part of me, but Ohhhhh there's so much more.

How many 5% Challenges have you done? The first challenge was Spring of 2010. This is the 54th
5% Seasonal Challenge. I missed the Winter 2020 challenge so this will be 53.
What do you like to do for fun? This challenge is my main free time activity. I like to read and watch some TV. I play 1 online game. I enjoy cards and board games. I like to socialize with friends and family.
What major city do you live in or near? State? The closest major city is Philadelphia, PA but I am actually 3 hours northwest.
What are your health/fitness goals for this season? I am concentrating on getting 10 minutes a day of fitness and adding strength training. So far so good! 1 day down. I'd like to lose a pound or two but ST hopefully will build some muscle.
How would your pet or friend describe you? My cats love me but they would likely say I can be annoying. I actually asked some friends to describe me once for a project. I was humbled by their answers. I heard words like kind, considerate and caring.

What do you like to do for fun? Spending time with my grandsons, gardening, reading, exercising, word games/puzzles.

What are you health/fitness goals for this season? To continue losing weight, improve my A1C and cholesterol levels, and exercise daily.
How would your pet or friend describe you? Loyal, honest, loving, organized
2 fun things about you? My husband calls me “Sheldon” sometimes, after the character on the Big Bang Theory. I think it drive him a little crazy when my touch of OCD kicks in.
Most of my structured exercise takes place in my living room, in front of the TV, in the form of low impact aerobics or walking. I think I spend more time than I should perusing exercise videos on YouTube to find ones that I like. The ones with terrible music or too much chatter make me nuts. I have made multiple libraries of the ones that I like.

How many 5% Challenges have you done? I would say around 50 (+/-). I found the Challenges after they had launched and joined. I was part of a team that was on a 'waitlist' while the Challenge was in full swing. The group that was waitlisted became known as the 'Overflow Campers' and we all worked so well together and got along, we became known as the Firecrackers. We joined the Challenges as an official team right around 'Independence Day' (celebrated on 7/4 in the USA). Except for a few Challenges where I sat out, I've done them all since. If Lynn (kaliswalker) has done 54 and Ceri has done 53, I'm at 50 for sure.
What do you like to do for fun? In my spare time, I volunteer in our town with our local Women's Club which joins together for a sense of community, friendship, helping one another and the surrounding communities. Additionally, I perform, whenever I can, with 2 local theatre groups. I'm currently not doing a show which is fine because I'm helping my brother to help our mom navigate her 'new normal' since my dad passed away in August. They were married for 63 years.
What major city do you live in or near? State? NJ ~ the western part ... a small town near Clinton, NJ & Flemington, NJ. We are also very close to PA.
What are you health/fitness goals for this season? My usual ~ to be the best that I can be, to be healthy & strong. This year, I was told that my cholesterol is creeping up, so I guess I'm additionally motivated because I don't want to have health issues. Since my father got really sick and then passed, I've thrown all caution to the wind and have been careless when it comes to eating, etc. I feel it; my clothes feel it and now the bloodwork confirms it; I need to get back on track. I'll be looking for plans where I can eat to lower my cholesterol and the 'bad cholesterol' numbers.
How would your pet or friend describe you? Raven (our dog) LOVES me ~ I'm def. **her** human. When we had to put our last dog down, I didn't want another but my DD and DH wanted to 'look'. They brought Raven home with them (her name at the shelter was Corona). Two days after she came home, DD went off to work at Disney. Because of the 'Disney' connection, her full name is really: 'Raven Maleficent' (that comes from the fact that Sleeping Beauty/Aurora is my favorite Disney princess). I think that Raven (and my friends) would describe me as loyal and caring ~ outgoing and friendly with a hint of 'ok to be alone' every now and again.
2 fun things about you? One of my first jobs when I graduated from Business School was as a travel agent. One time I traveled to Greece for a weekend (yes, Friday - - > Sunday). Another time, I took a 3 day cruise out of Miami ~ the flight and cruise were both free (except for taxes ... at that time, I think I paid about $10-$15 total.
Anything else you would like to share? I'm a proud leader of the Seasonal Challenges and a Captain (previously CL) of the Red Hot Chili Steppers. I wish each and every one of you (that celebrate) a VERY happy holiday season filled with family and friends. How many 5% Challenges have you done? Too many to count I just missed one since moving over to MFP from Spark.
What do you like to do for fun? Reading and listening to interesting and educational podcasts.
What major city do you live in or near? State? I'm in Kansas the very South East corner of the state near Pittsburg.
What are you health/fitness goals for this season? Get down in the upper 140's by the end of 2022.
How would your pet or friend describe you? Dependable always on time or early for work or an appointment and will stay late at work if needed or come in on my day off.
2 fun things about you? I love posting motivational quotes and love to blog every night.
Anything else you would like to share? I was a leader of the seasonal challenges before stepping down before the IBC back in the Spring to Summer (I think). I decided for the fall challenge to come back and love being a member while I did enjoy being a leader I think it took a toll on my own journey. For the moment I'm doing at home workouts written by my former coach since I hit a deer almost 2 weeks ago I'm OK was just shaken up but my car is totaled and waiting for the insurance company to make the decision so I can either get a new car or have mine fixed.4 -

What do you like to do for fun? play games, read, dance in the livingroom to good music, eat good food, enjoy walks at the river and sunsets and landing planes. And I really like to read about the many courageous spiritual women in the Bible and I love reading about them, Abigail, Deborah, Ruth, but especially Hannah and her beautiful prayer as well as Mary the mother of Jesus and her dedication. And there are many more to learn from.

What are you health/fitness goals for this season? Work on my Fiber and protein intakes and to keep doing 120 minutes of fitness a day and perhaps add in some resistance training this round.
How would your pet or friend describe you? Sadly Amigo, the cat, would not like me right now as he is very sick and needs meds and has to take them, so I am the giver of the yuk ... otherwise, it's I am the treat person. My friends describe me as dependable, loving and kind, but also serious.

Anything else you would like to share? Have a healthy life style plan of action and action the plan. YOU are successful even when you try to follow the plan.3 -
How many 5% Challenges have you done? Absolutely clueless. I have enjoyed being on different groups.
What do you like to do for fun? I love my retirement ministry. Enjoy doing groundwork and preparing cottages for folks who just want to get away and spend time with their God.
What major city do you live in or near? State? I live about an hour from St. Louis, MO.
What are you health/fitness goals for this season? As much as I would love to get down to 140; as soon as I hit 145.5--to keep to that calorie is too difficult. I will keep working to see what the problem is. I think aerobic exercise would be good.
How would your pet or friend describe you? Indecisive. I'll start going out the door to take Billie for a walk and the have to go in to get my phone, or something else I've forgotten. She would also call me "cool", since I am not a very disciplined mom who let's her get by with murder (bunnies, armadillos, moles, etc.). My cats love me because I feed them and let them drink out of the faucet. The other pets on the property would say I'm gentle and loving.

What are you health/fitness goals for this season? I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and a fatty liver on 15 November, so short term is to be accountable for better choices in my diet and build in some regular exercise. Longer term, I have a total of 110lbs to lose.
How would your pet or friend describe you? I hope they would say I am loving, loyal, firm but fair, and very definitely more than a little eccentric. Rather introverted, but a friend who would help you hide the body once the relationship has been established

What are you health/fitness goals for this season? I want to get back on track and lose weight. I am stuck in the 160's and I really want to get down in the 150's. I need to add strength training also.
How would your pet or friend describe you? My pets would say that I am a fun, crazy, loving person. I am a true friend and I love to get together with my friends. My doctor said that she thinks I am an amazing woman. She loves me so I guess she is telling me the truth.

What do you like to do for fun? I like to walk, watercolor, crochet, and all kinds of baking.

What are you health/fitness goals for this season? I want to run all the 5k's I do this coming 2024 and then build on to running half marathons, then of course full marathons. I need to add some weight training to help me also.

What are you health/fitness goals for this season? To make progress toward getting my weight down to 150 lbs. To exercise regularly, a challenge when the weather is frigid and icy and one enjoys exercising outside.
How would your pet or friend describe you? My dog Maia (lab retriever) would say that I don't pay her enough attention. LOL! I do have a busy life. My friends would say that I'm very open, approachable, and can be deep and thoughtful - but also goofy and playful. I'm less concerned with appearances than with substance. They'd also say I'm a social introvert.

~ Done too many to count. All I know is that I started SP at the end of April 2019 and about one year after, I started doing the 5% challenges. I probably missed a couple but once I joined again, I stuck with it.
What do you like to do for fun?
~ I love to dance, listen to music, enjoy batch cooking, walking my dog twice daily, reading, sewing, cleaning and decluttering my house, decorating, need I go on?

~ I live in Almonte, a small town outside of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We only have to drive in Ottawa for medical appointments for my husband. We have all that is necessary in the area.

~ I need to lose some weight. I know where my problems lie but seem unmotivated lately to attack them. This needs to change and quickly.

~ Very loyal and affectionate.

~ 1. I am fully bilingual in both English and French (read, write, spoken). I am in the process of learning Spanish. 2. I enjoy meeting people from anywhere. Very curious!
Anything else you would like to share?
~ My husband and I returned to Canada after a 45 year stay in West Africa for work. We fully enjoyed our stay there as it is a completely different lifestyle altogether. Upon my return, I have discovered that I can do without winter and summer as the extreme temperatures are not enjoyable to me. I make do of course as I have no choice. The cold can get unpleasant but if one is dressed warmly, one is okay. As for the heat, that slows me down to not wanting to move at all. I have had my share of heat to last me for the rest of my life...
Here is my walking companion Mimi who will be 13 next March.

Right there now not too much lol....just had a full left hip replacement and basically learning to walk again.
Once back in better shape....

I love just walking 🚶♀️ anywhere outside ... but prefer the wood trails winter or summer.
Use to line dance and loved it but since covid there is no more.

What are you health/fitness goals for this season?
My goal is to be walking normal again without a walker or cane!
How would your pet or friend describe you?
No pets in my house except hubby (who is my bestest friend)
Hubby and any other family or friends would say I am stubborn and always HAVE to be right! But like I tell them....Most times I AM right! 😆
They would also say I have a fair touch of OCD....
They would also say I am generous to a fault and wear my heart ❤️ on my sleeve....
And I DO not mince my words ....I either tell you like I see it...
Or say nothing!
( my grandmother 👵 use to tell me growing up....if you can't say something nice....DO NOT say anything! )
2 fun things about you?
1 ) I love ❤️ to tease and joke and can be very sarcastic at times but usually in fun ways..
2) I love ❤️ to cook and try new recipes. My FB page is full of recipes. Love ❤️ making them fit my 1200 calories a day diet.

Hubby is from Scotland
We met on the internet 25 yrs ago on ICQ
I moved to Scotland for 7 years till Hubby could retire.
I am a nurse and worked in a Nrsg Home in Glasgow and another one in Stirling.
We returned to Canada 🇨🇦 in 2007.
We will be married 20 years in 20232
