    Merry Christmas!

I am wishing each of you and your families a very Merry Christmas!

Mike, holding your daughter's friend in prayer.

Bill, holding you in prayer for your healing. I remember last year when I had a fever and COVID and could not enjoy Christmas with my family. I am praying for you that you are feeling better very quickly and despite your COVID, you have an opportunity to enjoy today.

It is a frosty -zero.6 degrees here this morning. It is supposed to be gradually warming up a little now through the next week. I am not a fan of winter.

It will be a small gathering today, just Connie, Collin and I. We will have a ham, potato casserole, salad, and a few other sides. We will be eating ham for a long time. Part of it will end up in the freezer for later.

Have a Merry Christmas with your families!

A merry Christmas morning to all.

Off to church, then a brunch at DS's, then on to DD's, who will be taking other DD to the airport to fly back to Bali. I will probably go on from there to two other of my kids homes and drop off piano-key key-racks. My sleigh gets 25 miles per snowflake.

I got an Aeropress coffee press from one of my kids, for you coffee gourmets out there. Kind of cool! (A novel way of making coffee-making more complicated?)

    Off and running...

Lee, ...our friend Leah had two kinds of flu, developed into pneumonia, then sepsis, in the ICU beginning of the week, then on a ventilator.

Good morning gentlemen. Merry Christmas to you all.

Got home from church late last night - for us - but still woke before 5 this morning. Maybe a nap this afternoon.

It will be a strange Christmas Day, with just the two of us. Maybe some shop time? There is a service at church, but I don't know whether we will go, or not. It's just lay readings and Christmas hymns. I might go just because I like to sing.

    Merry Christmas Gentlemen

Still doing the Covid thing. I tried to eat a bit more yesterday. My system fought back. But some appetite is returning. Big excitement is my wife clogged the sink drain emptying old Tupperware discoveries down the disposal en masse. Apparently there was quite a bit of pressure in the the drain. When I loosened the first threaded coupling and started on the second the pressure took over and water jetted out and snapped the drain pipe inside the wall. An emergency plumbing call was short. He told my wife they would be back Monday and would have to open the wall under the sink and the adjacent cabinet which will likely demolish the shelf since the pipe runs at an angle to the wall. Not a cheap repair and doesn’t include drywall repair. Thankfully we cancelled our Family Christmas celebration anyway till next Saturday. Outside of the obscene cost, the damage to a cabinet and wall is moot since it all gets demolished in a few months. I think we will need to find some Chinese Food if Heather and Pat haven’t planned anything. My mind is processing better now so I think I will do some reading. But there will be a muppets Christmas Carol viewing. Even if I have to watch it from the next room.

Like Dave up fairly early myself and hope to come home from DD's and take some sort of nap later. We will trundle over to her house arriving at 10 am. Merry Christmas to all.

Holding Leah in our prayers and wishes for Bill too. Being sick this time of year, well any time of year is just a pain we could do without.

Oh Bill I am soooooo sorry about the plumbing nightmare. WOW!!! Have not heard of that sort of pressure and breakage. YIKES!! I try in vein sometimes to discourage my DW from doing disposal in the kitchen sink in batches. Our disposal is designed to run while gradually adding material to it for sure. Actually I try to discourage most usage of the disposal anyway. We have a small scraps container under the sink which goes into the worm bins. They don't like citrus rinds, avocado skins (nature's own idea of "plastic") and pits. Also outer onion wrappings. Those can be sent out with our trash.

Finally got above freezing here last night and is pouring rain (1/2 inch per hour right now) on the remaining slush.
