Good morning!
I didn't think about trying to find a back door for posting here. I thought that it would be fixed more quickly.
Bill, I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. I'm also glad that you are seeing more wet. I hope that it is spread out enough to avoid a lot of problems like flooding and mud slides. Kale is good for you! I'm glad that you are embracing it.
Connie and I celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary last night. We went out for steak at Longhorn, and had a nice evening together. She says that I am always stiff and serious and never relax or have fun. I showed her! I got us dance lessons at Arthur Murray. I have not danced since disco in the 70s.
It will be a short day at work today. We are closing at 11:30, and we'll be closed on Monday. Then the fun begins with year-end.
Lee, happy birthday to your wife! I'm glad that she is able to retire. I hope that you get that opportunity soon, as well. We are very much in the same boat, although Connie has been retired several years now. She turns 65 in February. I turn 63 in May.
Have a great day!0 -
Mornin' gents.
Seems the access problem is fixed. At first, I worried MFP was blocking access from non premium subscribers.
I am a little worried that DW now has time to think about projects that will involve me the anti DIY guy.
Be OP ;-)0 -
Lee, you stole the words I was going to say about wives retiring... haha!
Steve, don't hurt yourself at Arthur Murray studio. I suppose even accountants can dance...
Mild weather next few days, although rain tomorrow.

Good morning gentlemen.
Glad to get in here directly.
Lee, your DW will have more time for her own DIY projects.
PT appointment this morning. The last time, I went in feeling fine and was sore for two days afterwards.0 -
Good Morning
I injured my right knee leg. I am calling the ortho today, though I don't know if they will see me today. Knee is lower egg is stiff and hurts like hell. My son picked up a cane for me so I can get around a bit. I am back living on the living room couch. Our Christmas celebration is tomorrow after all, including the dish with kale 🤮0 -
My grandfather loved kale, to me it is OK cooked in soup, but not a great fan.
I'm a firm believer in DIY including DW DIY if she wants something done; in fact, when she was not working, she maintained yard as well as house so we would have more time when I was off. Now I did clean up her car yesterday since she was having a hard day due to DMIL.
Saw a friend at Cracker Barrel yesterday who is cutting back to 3 days a week, she turns 90 next week yet still raises chickens and sells eggs, currently she has 160 layers. Just because someone gets older does not mean they are not able to contribute and enjoy life.

We had the dubious distinction within the last couple of days or so of having more power outages than any other state at over 130,000 outages. Our "famous" Peacock Lane lost all its electricity so folks couldn't view the Christmas lights Wed night. We didn't lose power in our neighborhood with underground utilities. A few blocks away they lost power for 4 hours.
I am glad Sassy helped in comforting Rita.
Sooo sorry about your knee/leg Bill. Hang in there.
Good luck with the PT Dave. I have found some PT folks useful. Some? not so much.
Yup Steve don't kill yourself dancing. We had two rules in our dance class.
RULE#1 Don't injure yourself or your partner
RULE#2 Have fun
If you do those two things and get some steps right well that's a bonus.
Wow I doubt my grandfather even knew what Kale was. Not sure. I eat lots of Kale daily especially in my morning omelet.
Keep those pains and sicky stuff at bay folks. Happy Holidays.0
