Late start for me today, as I'm waiting for a contractor to show up about 9:00. He is to fix the shower that is still not right.

Connie and I have our second dance lesson tonight. This will be a group lesson.

I am starting to come down with a cold. Question. For you guys that have had COVID, do you find it easier now to get other infections like a cold? I have not really thought much about it, but Connie is convinced that since I've had COVID, I'm sick a lot more than what I ever used to be.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Another PT session, this morning. While I had been thinking my hip was improving since starting therapy, on yesterday's walk I experienced the classic shooting pains from glute to hip and down my leg. Just as bad as ever. While the PT sessions provide a good workout, I could get that at a gym, without the inconvenience of having to make specific appointments. I don't think I will book any more sessions after I work through this month.

I am the only person I know who hasn't had Covid. Since the whole thing started, three years ago, I have only had one cold, while I used to have four or five a year. I credit using hand sanitizer frequently. We have a couple bottles in the car and use it every time we get in.

    Good Morning

    Have fun tonight Steve.

I do have a slight headcold but I can’t really relate it to Covid. It is conceivable my immune system is not 100% yet but who knows. Heather had Covid about a year ago with out any uptick in colds etc and she works with preschoolers who freely share their germs and viruses.

I have tutoring this morning, a long delayed haircut and then the ortho. I expect to hear that my knee has gone as far it can go and be referred to his colleague who will do the dirty deed. I can’t complain, it’s been 8 years since he warned me I had to stop running, hiking and high impact stuff unless I wanted a knee replacement in my immediate future. No complaints except for the timing. I got my second kitchen estimate yesterday which looked good and made contact with the contractor who would install the IKEA kitchen which is a multi contractor process. A day off from wet weather and high winds and then the atmospheric river returns for another week. It’s hard to see what is happening across the state.

Good luck with your PT session Dave. I agree about your doing it on your own with pt stuff.
Hey Steve. Good luck with your dancing class.
Well Dave my wife and I are in the same boat with you. Just about everyone we know has had COVID except my wife and I (knock on wood). We did have a bad cold in October but tested negative four times (twice tested for each of us so total of 4 tests). We use a lot of hand sanitizer and mask up when shopping and limit our exposures.
I still have my original knees and hips, the 1945 version. Knock on wood again. So far keeping pains mostly at bay using tumeric and black pepper (the combination is necessary to provide best anti-inflammatory effect).

    Afternoon gents.

Having a late lunch while DW naps.
Dog training this am. Picked new glasses and whatta difference!
House call to check on an old sick dog and to give another a rabies booster.
So cool you did the dance lessons for Connie, Steve.
Dave, I have never tested positive for COVID, but am not sure I haven't had it. I do think the masking and hand sanitizing has cut way down on me catching colds.
Good luck with the knee replacement, Bill. You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

Neither me nor DW have had COVID though DMIL who lives with us has had COVID twice; we kept DGS over New Years and on January 2nd he tested positive for COVID as well as our DSonIL, yet DD did not test positive.
When I injured leg doctor recommended physical therapy, therapist after first session wanted to know why I was there when I could do more than he usually recommends after 12 sessions; yoga does help.

    Late check-in here...

After piano lesson this morning I stayed to try and fix a note that "clunks" on the piano. Tried a few different things, but still goes clunk, or maybe "thunk". One more thing might be to loosen the string and twist it a turn or so, to tighten the windings, a bigger job for another day.

As far as I know I've never had COVID. DD Margret & her DH & kids were the only other ones in the fam who never got it--until she finally got it before Christmas. But none of her family did. Go figure. I take some supplements to help prevent it, based on the research of a doctor group I feel is very solid. FLCCC.org. Of course maybe I haven't had it because I hardly go anywhere and am paranoid about crowds since this started.

Bob, what's the tumeric thing you mentioned? I'd like to keep my 1948 model knees for a while longer.
