Bob, hope they figure out what's going on with the PSA and will follow up skillfully on that front.

Tested negative for COVID yesterday, still have a runny nose. Went to piano class with a mask on. Another class today. Took some zinc, vit C and some immune supplements (black cumin seed oil and elderberry extract) and drank a lot of fluids. Surprised that other cold/flu like symptoms went away by afternoon, just the runny nose still lingers. Have never been into herbal health fads, but lately have read a lot of studies and giving a few things a try.

Heard of another death yesterday--DD's DFIL, Bill. 97 I think, a WW II vet, and kindly cheerful man I will really miss.

    Good morning!

Bob, I pray that they find nothing with your PSA, or if there is an underlying issue, I pray that it is found and treated early.

Mike, I have been praying hard for the family that lost two children. I believe that I have an understanding of how they must be feeling. I am sending a virtual hug to you for the loss of your friends.

Connie and I have group dance class again tonight. I'm looking forward to it, although it will be a late night.

We are getting a wintery mix today, but driving in to work was not bad. At least for now the roads are just wet.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

I decided to cancel today's PT session and think I'll cancel the remaining two, as well. I like the therapist, just fine. I just don't think the PT is doing anything for the problem in my hip. By now, I can do all the exercise routines he has me do, anyway.

I went through a prostate biopsy a number of years back. The procedure was unremarkable, but I peed red for a few days afterwards. Hope they find no more than they did with me, Bob.

    Dry day, today. Yipee!

    Good Morning

Bob, I hope the PSA elevation is just a spike and nothing more. I had a test spike but it came back down quickly, though my urologist just noted a general upward trend in my numbers to keep an eye on. This is one wear an abundance of caution is more than worth it.

I had a good day yesterday, the best in almost a month. I racked up almost 5K steps yesterday just around the house getting things done. It felt good to be productive with limited pain issues. Christmas is back in the garage, my prayer corner is restored and I am back making dinner, simple as it was. It feels good to be getting things done. The knee held up but is a bit sore today as is the back. I will deal with it today. I got the call to schedule a bunch of appointments for my surgery which will be on 2/13. I pushed it off a week. Lots to do to get ready but glad it is on the books despite. In the middle of the calls I got a text from by next door neighbor looking for a saw to cut up a large branch in her back yard/patio with a picture. She said it fell from the neighbor on the other side. After I got off the phone I looked again and realized it was the top 12+ feet of my big birch tree, the only birch near her. Between the two of us we were able to work it over our common fence and tilt it over the other side leaning atop the fence. I will rent a small chain saw and make quick work of it next week now that we have a 10 day stretch without rain.

Sam, thanks for the reminder on the exercises. I had already found a video of 5 exercises to do prior to surgery. I just have to swallow my pride and ungracefully get down on the ground to do them and then figure out how to get off the ground. But since I am rolling up rugs todays I will give it a try. Thanks again.

Yea Lee and Bill : my urologist is wanting "more data" at this point before considering doing an ultrasound guided bx of prostate.
Interesting Dave about the red pee. I know that with the newer more specific ultrasound guided needle bx they zero in on the "questionable" spots and don't need to do so many bx samples.
I agree with you Dave about the PT. I do stuff that could help in a measured way.

Well another downer yesterday. I got in on an "emergency" basis to see an optometrist in my eye doc office for what I thought was "pink eye". Well pink eye isn't BLOOD RED! I had a subconjunctival hemorrhage . Apparently a small vessel broke just beneath the conjunctiva. The doc? Well she did a great job and went the extra mile to do precise measurements of my IOC (intraocular pressure) and found the pressure in the left (affected) eye was waay too high and immediately called one of my ophthalmologists. He had here do some additional looking into my anterior chamber to see if I had Iris inflammation or bleeding. I did not. I was given pressure reducing drops that are used for high pressure and I have an emergency appt with my Ophthalmologist today to assess and follow-up. I love this office and their due diligence. I helped teach several of the ophthalmologists within this medical practice when they were ophthalmology residents at Casey Eye Institute in Portland. They worked briefly in my
laboratory with me. They are all so knowledgeable and super nice to me.

    Evenin' gents.

Sadly, we are of an age where our circle of acquaintances are starting to expire. When it is young people, it is especially tragic. Not too many WWII veterans left.
Well, the old needle to the prostate doesn't sound like fun in any way. Hope it doesn't come to that, Bob.
What the heck about your IOP? Hope that is just a temporary issue.
I have felt the best today than I have in a long time. I'm about 5 weeks post injection. We'll see how long it lasts. Glad you had a good day yesterday, Bill. I saw the branch/tree top photo on FB. Looks like a bow saw would work and a lot safer than a chain saw.

    Be OP ;-)

    Good Evening,
    Started day with Emmaus group,
Spent good part of day with financial advisor, company has not done what I requested since they took over.
Several calls with INR clinic, finally ask them to take me back to what I had done for 14 years before new doctor took over; we shall see.
After day starting out very wet and heavy fog, sun came out around two and temps went up to 70; had to have a couple hours ride on Toad.
Highs tomorrow expected too only be 57.
