Welcome to our new members!

If you are new and want to join in, by all means, please do - we love to celebrate those losses with you! This is the standard format we try to use for these threads:

Name: (if you'd like to share)

My Numbers:
SW: Starting weight before you lost anything.
CW: Current weight at the beginning of the challenge.
GW: Goal weight for the month (what you would like to weigh at the end of the monthly challenge) Try to keep it realistic and SAFE!
LTGW: Lifetime goal weight ( What you would like to weigh at the end of your weight loss journey)

Weigh-ins: What days you will weigh-in; for example, Fridays
8/4/23 = (Fill out after each weigh-in.)
8/11/23
8/18/23
8/25/23 (final weigh in for the month)
Total WL/G for the month= total weight lost or gained for the month

It was also suggested that we could track our measurements at the beginning of each month to see how we do there, so feel free to add those too this month!

    Hi all,

It's literally been a year since I last poked my head in the door here. I've had a rough year mental health wise and my weight has reflected that. I've checked the scales a few times and it's been creeping back up steadily, my clothes have gotten uncomfortably tight. Not surprising as I've been binging pretty badly. This week has been first week in a year where I've felt a little more in control of myself so I'm grabbing that feeling by the nose and popping in to say HELLO! I'm still alive  Let's have another go at this. I filled in my food diary and looked up some of my new favourite binge foods to get a better understanding of the calories I've been (and probably will again, lets be honest) eating. Seeing a mental health professional on Monday. Fingers crossed I'm able to get back on track as I miss how I felt when I was more in control. I'll update my starting weight & goal weight for August tomorrow when I weigh myself.

@Gnawcraft Hey! Good to see you're keeping the challenge going

Good luck to us all in August!
    Deni

I was 274 Friday then my friend I hadn't seen came for the weekend and we marathoned the extended LOTR movies (over 11 hours) and got pizza. Worth it :P Lots of soups and fish for me this week!

Jeez talk about falling at the first hurdle both getting on here and weight loss. I've been really sick the last few weeks but I've been keeping my weights so here's an update. Back on track for weekly catch up and better eating. Some jerk (a very thoughtful client) brought in giant boxes of donuts into work as a thank you and I scoffed too many. Well done @Gnawcraft for a great loss last week. Best of luck for the last weigh in! I'd just like to get back to my month start weight at his point haha

Hey Deni! Don't be too hard on yourself, especially if you've been unwell a few weeks <3 You can always have this months goal just being to show up and log! It's still a start ^_^

Well done Gnawcraft! Although weight loss this month hasn't gone how I'd have liked I've made a few small changes which I'm feeling the benefits of. Cutting down bread and drinking more water. Hopefully September sees the scales moving in a better direction
