    Based on pending weather for gulf coast, I think we threaded the needle.
    Awesome reunion with Tucker last night. 🐾
    Car wash today.
    Maybe some pool time.
    Last full day of vacation before I begin prepping to return.

    I'm spending the day at the annual church choir retreat. We are starting up again, after our summer off.

    Good morning.

    After services today I'll have laundry and house cleaning to do since it'll be my last chance before I head off to Chicago on Monday. I want Cecilia to be able to come back to a clean house on Thursday. The place isn't "dirty" because I don't like clutter and messes, but the mail pile needs sorting and dust bunnies need to be swept.

    Weight is up 3 pounds after Brazil, so I may need to behave in Chicago somewhat.

    Steph - don't make them go through passport/customs twice if you can afford for them not to. They'll have to do the long lines in Vancouver for non-Canadians and then whatever inefficiency they face when they make it stateside.

    Morning BBB

    I always liked coming home from. Vacation with another day or two off to settle back in. We often did Thursday Thursday/Friday trips. Ron had unlimited Vacation and with my retail schedule I could swing that and only use 6 days of PTO and get 11 days off in a row.

    Did a 30 mile bike ride to a brewery and had $8 pitcher of a delightful IPA. Uberd home. One way bike rides are the best. Today is a hiking day but I'm going go suggest we go to downtown Chandler and hit the farmers market, library and sculpture garden. We will still get lots of activity but see something new.

    Found out yesterday I was interpreting the N Z visa rules wrong and we can only stay 3 months instead of 6. Now need to figure out a different plan or do a border run. At least I know now not after we have booked places.

    • It is supposed to hit 98° here today and then start cooling off.
    • That new 2nd digit I saw on the scale yesterday reverted to the old one today. Grrr.
    • DW scored tickets to a Crystal Gale concert tonight. Don't laugh, we are in a small town.

    Good Afternoon,
    Had to reprogram thermostat from where switch shorted out, real easy putting high stool in front of it where I could see.
    DW who is usually hot said it was too cool last night.
    DS came by this morning, he is going to Widow's Son meeting in Griffin this afternoon; I have chosen not to go, temps expected to hit 100 with storms late afternoon and evening, it will be around 12:30 pm when he gets back to Madison.
    When I was working always liked a couple of days after vacation to rest up.
    I can eat out and see weight go up 3 pounds because of sodium intake, given a couple of eating at home weight comes back down; I still need to drop 18 pounds.
    Enjoy retreat Dave, a break from Turn, turn, turn.
    Hope Mary and ladies are having a good time.
