    Good morning!

At least in this part of the country, the weather dudes say that today is the first day of meteorological fall. It sure does not seem like it as we are staring down another week in the 90s to maybe even 100 again after Monday. Ugh!

Very deep and sincere prayer for all of you today. Our group has several members who are in great pain, and/or are seeing medical professionals for various issues. I pray for quick and complete healing for all of you.

I for one am looking forward to a three day weekend. I love my work, but I am very tired. I need a bit of a battery recharge.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin’

Only a chilly 48º here at dawn. Bill, I hope they get that mixed up situation sorted out. Sam, sorry to hear about the cancerous findings.

No, I won’t be cooking with isopod (pill bug) feed, thank you. Maybe I’ll give the grandkids some isopods to raise with a free 3-month food supply. Will find another source for freeze dried peas that caters to backpackers.

Yesterday I met up with DS who swims every day and paddled alongside as he did a lake. A bit windy, but a gorgeous afternoon on a spring fed lake. Afterward it took me an hour to get off the water because there was a waiting line of kayakers coming and going who all simultaneously converged at the boat ramp. Funny scene, actually.

Dave, hope they get your pain situation under control…

    Have a good day everyone.

    Good morning gentlemen.

Good luck on the biopsy, Bob.

I'd have burst a blood vessel, Bill.

Basal cell, Sam? I finally became a hat wearer after my fourth.

The spine pain center looked at my MRI and showed me the sources of pain in each hip/leg. They said I was a good surgical candidate because of my excellent health. I decided to go slow on the surgery talk and to try injections, first. They'll call to set up an appointment for the first procedure, either next week, or after we get back from Las Vegas.

    Good Morning

Sam, I am sorry to hear the dermatologist report. Hopefully it will be easily resolved.

Dave, sounds like you were given some options. What sort of injections are they thinking? I agree putting surgery off if you can.

Quiet day yesterday. I was still a little out of sorts over the medical stuff and my back was not happy and didn't respond to gentle stretching or ice and tens. I finally gave in to Tramadol a couple of times but it messed up my sleep. I made 10 can chili. Perhaps I should switch to 5 can. I forgot how big a batch it makes. Not much on tap today. Back willing, I may try a walk with trekking poles to see if my back tolerates it better. Temps have dropped to the 70's.

    2/3's of year gone.
Seems as skin peel did not get rid of all basal cell places, those left want to remove making sure deep enough not to leave any cells. Must not be too bad since they are waiting till end of October. I've used a cap since last peel.
Prayers for Bob today; praying biopsy comes back clean.
70's this morning, predicted not to hit 90's till next week.
Hope you get some rest Steve.
Mike, what was temp of water DS swimming in and you paddling. My body could not handle that.
Lee, any trials this holiday weekend?

Sorry about your skin bx result Sam. I had a squamous cell tumor removed from my ear with MOH's surgery to make sure they got it all. Also had skin graft from back of that ear. worked great. I recently had a squamous cell cancer removed from my other eye conjunctiva. Both probably due to a lot of sun as a kid. I think in general basal cell tumors aren't too big a deal.
Hanging in there today with my prostate biopsy. At least my blood cancer is ok after seeing my oncologist yesterday.
I do wear hats these days.
We ended up with 3/4" of rain at my house yesterday. A lot more than predicted which is a good thing.
Yea Dave I hear ya. I go slow on surgery stuff myself. I still have my own knees and hips at this point.

Hang in there everybody with all the pain and cancer stuff!!

My last basal cell was on the top of my head, where my hair thinned first. They wanted to get all of it, so they were very thorough. I can clearly recall the sound of the scalpel scraping on my skull.
