Good morning.
It appears that It was good I didn't go to WhiskyX yesterday. It was apparently really humid in the building where they hosted it, so people tended to spend time outside - where it was also hot and humid - and then go back in for a drink sample every now and then.
Cecilia was complaining about back pain yesterday and I asked if she needed the Old Yeller treatment. She didn't understand the reference, so we dropped everything last night and watched the movie. She's upset that the dog wasn't nominated for an Oscar.
I think today is my last 530 wake up call before I can go back to 6AM alarms for services. 🤞0 -

- TGIF! Late night watching Braves whip the Nats! Last game for me for the season. Took some neighbors here in the new hood and my best friend and his son. We had a good time.
- Nothing in store for wet forecasted weekend. Might make it a couch and football weekend.
- Doc wants to do more injections and revisit. Ugh.

So, in a meaningless game, the Yankees beat Toronto. Well, maybe not meaningless, because Gerrit Cole likely cemented his bid for the Cy Young.
I went to a Whisky Fest in NYC once. It was really interesting and I learned fair bit about the finer points of the trade. Sorry to hear that the Whisky X climate was uncomfortable. Gin and tonics would probably have been more appreciated in the heat and humidity.
Old Yeller. Glad Cecilia enjoyed and I agree with her.
Looks like the weekend is gonna be a washout. Sam and Dennis are probably feeling a bit soggy at this point.

- I watched the game last night and I didn't see you Skip. Are you sure you were there. Is Ronald Acuna, Jr. fast or what?
- No rain here. The storm is well east of us.
- I rode the motorbike to the Augusta VA hospital yesterday to confirm my hearing aid bit the dust. They'll send it off for repair.
- Today we are going with the Veterans Club to Georgia Military College to hand out some scholarships.

Beautiful day, today, with endless rain starting tomorrow - when we drive over to the coast for a long weekend with family. I was skeptical about renting a place over there but yielded to years of pressure. Maybe a miserable few days will be the end of it.0 -
Taking DW out for supper tonight, we are so old that's our anniversary celebration, gave her a pair of flops and cleaned her car.
Tomorrow we will go down to Gulf Shores for a week.
Weather has been beautiful here and expected same next week.
yesterday deer decided to eat pepper plants so other than a watermelon I have nothing left to produce in garden, bless those little deer hearts; hope they got indigestion.
All I can say is suck it up Dave, and pretend to enjoy.0 -
