Nice, raucous “Fakesgiving" dinner with 40+ people at DD’s last night. The newly tuned piano got a workout from some of the wee ones, adding to the chaos. And HC beat Georgetown, which was great, but they are tied for 1st place with another patriot League team, so TBD whether they will go into the national playoffs. This is their 5th football championship in a row.
Queazy stomach yesterday and when I got up this morning. Maybe a long walk and a nap will help.0 -
Mornin' gents.
Mike, would you be looking for a house or an apartment? Stay in the same town/area?
Well, tweaked my piriformis pretty good last Thursday chasing spaniels. I was seriously hobbling on Friday and yesterday morning, but that did not stop me from doing over 5 miles chasing spaniels yesterday. So I was aching pretty good at bedtime. Had to take an extra dose of celebrex and a tramadol in the afternoon, and then an extra dose of tylenol ER around 10:30 pm. I usually take a dose at 8-8:30 and in bed by 9. The ache was preventing me from getting to sleep. Interestingly enough, I am actually feeling pretty decent this morning. I will try not to overdo it today in spite of my spaniels' intentions. I will say my freezer is getting full of pheasant.
Bill, when you said 60-80 hours going a week going into your 60's, that is pretty impressive. I am doing probably 50 hours a week, 40-45 of those at the clinic. Its less exhausting when we are a well oiled machine, but that seems to only be the case 50% of the time these days. The young partner doctor and corporate tend to throw a wrench in the works on a regular basis. Still learning to pick my battles.
Be OP ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
Sounds like a fun family gathering, Mike. Hope the queasy stomach resolves itself.
The bazaar went very well for us, yesterday. For this kind of event, our sales were exceptional. A lot of that is due to Rita's outgoing personality and winning smile, I think. I split the profits with her. I did laugh with one customer, who was looking at one of our pricier pieces, which also took more work to finish than the others. The bowl would earn me minimum wage, I said - in 1960. I priced a couple pieces high enough that I thought no one would buy them - then someone did. I'll miss them but take comfort and pleasure from knowing they are enjoyed by others.
After the pain I caused myself hauling tables around during the setup Friday night, I declined to stay after the bazaar to put the all away.
Meeting of church elders after today's service, so I won't get home until 3, or so. Those meetings to drag on. Glad my 3-year term as elder is coming to a close.0 -
Good Morning
Congratulations on a successful Bazaar!
Nothing specifically planned. I haven't walked in a bit, but am thinking it is time to give it a try and see how my back and balky glute hold up. I have some papers to go through which I will do at a more than relaxed pace.0
