Good morning!
No Black Friday here! I am very content staying out of all the stores. These days, other than groceries, 90% of my shopping is done online. I have not started shopping for Connie's Christmas yet. I will probably start thinking about that soon.
I hope to get some rest today and this weekend. I do have chores, but I will skip working on the yard this weekend. It is supposed to be cold and wet and maybe snow this weekend, and be warmer next weekend.
It is great to not have to go into work today.
Have a great day!0 -
Woke after 5 hours sleep. Must’ve been all the food I stuffed down yesterday. We didn’t sit down to eat till 5:30, after DS got out of work. Had a little chocolate icecream with chocolate chips on top of apple crisp for dessert. Caffeine in chocolate late in the day can sometimes affect me.
We watched some football but also played cards. Verdict is out still on DS’s new GF, although she generally seemed okay to me.0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Wonderful time yesterday (except for the Seahawks). Time with loved ones highlights all I have to be thankful for.
Ate too much, yesterday, but it's back on the horse, today. I will attack the yard leaves this afternoon. It will be a sunny 48 degrees - about as good as it gets this time of year. Civil War game between the Ducks and the Beavers will take up my evening.1 -
Overate yesterday but did limit to one meal. Up three pounds which I'm blaming on ham.
DD and family made it but she is still very weak.
Will work on factifying inside of house today, tomorrow going to look at puppies before DW changes mind.0 -
Afternoon gents.
My brisket was a huge success. I can honestly say I dinna over eat, because I was not feeling at all. Didn’t even finish dessert of bread pudding.
Hope girlfriend turns out OK, Mike.
Ham is a salty devil.

Good Afternoon
Out Turkey day was quiet. I did a bit of prep in the morning. My son came over and did the Turkey breast in his sous vide. Very juicy. Limited menu, but it all was a hit. Ate a bit too much. According to Heather I still did too much and will not be involved in the Christmas meal. I can't win. I am still having trouble sleeping so I was up early today but dozed off and almost missed morning prayer which I was supposed to lead. We went for a walk this morning, I did the first part slow but my back still tightened up. I hope doing a little every day will help build some endurance without aggravating things. Turkey & Cranberry salad tonight. I will make some turkey frame vegetable soup tomorrow.0
