Good morning!
OK, you guys talking WW and points again, I think that I'll look into it again as well. For those of you who hitched back up, are you happy with the decision?
I'm going to be trying to get some chores done early today so that I can watch the Chiefs game this afternoon.
I twirked my left shoulder somehow yesterday and slept like carp last night. I may need a nap before the game this afternoon.
Have a great day!0 -
A little snow but mostly rain, temps hovering just above freezing. Got out with pups for training in the morning, then honey do list. I lurked on my phone yesterday but never sat down to laptop and posted. Got distracted with work stuff.
Roasted acorn squash last night, butternut squash on the menu tonight. Sprinkled with cajun seasoning and a little olive oil. Smoked pork tenderloin last night. Brushed with maple syrup before applying a coffee rub, smoked at 215 for almost two hours and then brushed again with maple syrup with a tab of melted butter as it was resting. A little sweet seems to really complement lean pork. DW thought is was pretty and even smelled good but did not partake.
I guess you can do point friendly BBQ. I still dream of doing a big pork butt slow smoked so that it just falls apart or a juicy brisket with a nice bark.
Heading into work for a friend/client this AM.
I want a Quietkat. Only 5K. Something I can take off road and even dog trialing (can pull a trailer with a dog crate) instead of an ATV.
Onward and downward ;-)

Mornin’
Forecast keeps shifting, might get some snow. Just fog and drizzle for now.
Made great headway yesterday cleaning up all the sawdust in my condo, and at the same time got a handle on a lot of clutter issues. Maybe the idiotic workshop-in-my-dining-room fiasco was really a blessing in disguise.
Church this morning if we don’t get a blizzard in the next few hours, and not sure what after that. My weight has gone down a little. I think avoiding sugar and sweets has given me a little better appetite control. Onward and downward…0 -
Good Morning,
Cloudy but rain should be over for a week, just much cooler.
Church this morning, no plans for balance of day other than Pablo walks; we get between 3 and 4 miles a day; nothing like Dave does or Lee training. Shoulder and leg still a real pain.
Prayers continue for Bill, Bob and Steve0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Steve, I am glad I re-signed with WW, but it seems like a lot for what you get. I signed a 6-month deal @ $15 a month. It's just the app, really. But there is a lot of information on the app and it's really easy for me to use. I lost weight, in the past, using the free MFP app. The WW app is just easier for me to use. I think most such things work, if you actually follow them. As they used to say, "The plan works, if you work the plan."
I boosted my walk up to 2.9 miles, yesterday. I was a little faster, too. It should be dry this morning (and freakishly warm for January), so I might take Sassy along with me. I'll watch football all afternoon.0 -
Good Morning
Steve, I got 10 mos @ $10/mo which is pretty cheap. I am happy, I just wanted the structure and system to rely on till I could get going. I have stumbled badly these past 10 days. I still lose focus when pain, etc ramp up. I am refocusing after today’s celebration.
My son and I enjoyed our 'Heather’s Gone Indian Feast’. Though we order less than we used to it is so good we do eat more than we need to. A blessing of radiation is a more sensitive gut and it did not pass on responding to the spice. But it was delicious: Chana Masala, Seafood Tiki Masala, and a breaded cauliflower in sauce and Naan & Puri. Today we celebrate my eldest son’s 38th. We will drive into SF and meet him at a German Restaurant for lunch. Not the recommended follow up to a night of spicy food. I am still struggling with fatigue and am pretty convinced it is from the treatments. I rest most of the afternoon. I can’t complain, though, I have had it pretty easy so far assuming I go back to healthy eating.0 -
Congrats to Steve on Chief's win!0
