    Tired too.

    Looking at a return trip to Louisville the first weekend of March to meet the record guys when they load out the Victrola albums, meet a plumber, etc.

    The Beam bottle was from 1974. Since it was already open, I can report that it was quite tasty. The Bell's bottles are from the 1960's. Since they were 20-year scotches, that means they were probably distilled not long after the war. Kind of cool.

    ENT was not much new, as expected. He sees noting physically wrong and deduces Ron had a virus last summer which left damage to his ear that affected balance. He says it takes the brain 6-18 months to rewire. This is based on him getting much better vs worse. Sigh. I'm guessing this is accurate. He had a headcold early in June. It only lasted a couple of days and wasn't very severe but...

    It's cold but sunny here today so we will probably go to honeymoon state park for our walk. Booked our lodging for near Jacksonville. Now need to find a few fun things to do.

    That is interesting about the bottles of scotch, Lou. When the time comes to empty out my parent's house it will be like an archeological dig.

    No discomfort any more in my back, just an ugly 6-inch scab. Still two days until my follow-up appointment with the surgeon.

    Physical therapy this morning nothing planned for today but Pablo wants to get out several times.
    May need to go visit DMIL.
    Glad back is much better David.

    • I got to visit with Mr. Sam at the American Legion meeting last night in Madison.
    • I started today with my Emmaus group.
    • I bought a new garbage disposal and kitchen faucet. I am trying to connect with a retired plumber who lives in the neighborhood, but it might be more trouble than it is worth. I've give it another day or two and then I'll call the more expensive practicing pro.
    • Glad to hear the back is getting better Dave. Now if we could only find some relief for Skip.
    • I can see Lou going on Antiques Roadshow with his scotch.

    Good evening

    We sail away in 4 days and Iā€™m sick. I woke up Sunday morning feeling horrible. I went to prompt med. no Covid. No flu. No strep throat. I guess I just have a common nasty cold which better be gone by Saturday

    Sending prayers for Kelly's speedy recovery. I too caught a sinus cold. Nothing terrible, just annoying.

    Sorry Ron didn't get any big answers or solutions. Was he tested for Lymes? I may have asked you that already, Steph?

    Will Pablo visit at dmils place, Sam? They both may like that? Maddie dog loves to get out of house.

    Temps in the 40's here all week. We'll take it!

    DH is making dinner tonite. Grilled marinated chicken breast and a salad kit. Perfect. Especially since I don't have to do it!

    Early bed for me, try to kick this cold!

    Skip you describe a leader I had at a now bankrupt company exactly. Thankfully I only worked for her for 8 months. I had on the calendar a one on one to discuss her treatment of me and my direct reports for clarity of direction, morale etc. She gave notice and was gone before I could reschedule the meeting after mom's funeral.
