    Practicing my Deutsch a little.

Lite snow on top of ice last night. Up at 4:30 today for no reason, don’t even have a dog.

Was back at DD’s for a 3rd day of tuning her piano. Finally finished, I am still learning the ins and outs. Used the wrong software for the first pass and most of the notes came out flat, had to completely redo. But now it sounds pretty decent. The rate I go if I charged I could make $4/hr. — good wages in 1970!

After the sand trucks go through I’m going the pond where I hiked the other day, to check the ice with my cordless drill. Might be safe enough for me now, as the nights have been cold, in the teens.

PT went very well. Hip is okay now, just monitor and do stretches and muscle roller massage. If pain returns call them. She thought my using turmeric (my GP suggested it 6 weeks ago) may be what’s helping. I have noticed also that my hands feel less sore lately.

    Have a good one, everyone.

    Good morning gentlemen.

You're talking ice, I'm talking spring. It will be 55 and sunny, today, in Tumwater. Buds are forming on the trees and the little peeper frogs are singing their chorus every evening.

We liked the doctor Rita saw yesterday. She wrote a prescription for a drug to prevent migraines. We'll see if Rita can tolerate the potential side effects.

I made it back to 174 lbs. yesterday. So, I am losing again, after plateauing for two weeks. Onward and downward.

    Good Morning

Glad to hear Rita’s appointment went well. I hope she can tolerate the meds and get relief.

We will be around 64 today which works for me. We enjoyed our final day in Florence with more walking before heading over to Eugene to check some furniture stores and fly home. A couple of accidents on the freeway and the old road through the pass into our valley turned our 30 min drive to an hour and fifteen, but we got home. I was pleased to see my weight was only up .4 in the last two weeks when I stopped tracking due to the peak of my stomach distress from the treatments. But 5 days of eating out and rich food was rough on it and it crashed on me while in Eugene so that probably helped though with some OTC meds I was able to eat a late dinner. I have already started tracking again and my wife and I have talked about me pushing my walking and see if I can keep going without the Pacific to cheer me. I have two weeks to make some progress before surgery. I have a cardio workout I think I can do every other day to build some cardio endurance as well, I hope.

Dr day for me. Phone follow-up with my Radiation Cardiologist this morning, pre-surgical blood work and a vist with the Pain Drs PA in the afternoon. Somewhere I need to get regular point friendly dinners going again. A great trip but it is good to be home! We will need to find our way to the Pacific down here, traffic be damned!

Interesting your GP mentioned tumeric. I freeze tumeric root and finely mince it along with ground black pepper in my morning omelet. tumeric concoctions need the piperine from black pepper to be fully absorbed. When I take pill form the brand I use has both curcumin and piperine in it. I think it helps me

55 deg in Tumwater and likely 62 deg in downtown Portland and 60 deg at my place nearby. Nice spring day indeed. Maybe "grainy raindrops" of snow and rain mix by monday or tuesday as apart of the mix as temps drop down.

Hang in there Bill with all your goings on.

    Afternoon gents.

Praying Rita gets relief from new med with little to no side effects. I cannot imagine having chronic migraines. It must be debilitating.
Starting to warm up in my corner of CT. I would not trust the ice in my area.
2 slices of thin crust cheese pizza for lunch cost me way more than I expected point wise.

    Onward and downward ;-)
